It appears to have asynchronous multiplayer similar to Souls games:
"Selene also discovers her own scout corpses across Atropos... The projections show other players deaths in Returnal, at the conclusion of which you can decide to scavenge the remains for items or revenge their death, triggering events that are best discovered when you play."

This game looks so good. Oh so good. This, Kena, and death loop are most anticipated games for me. Mainly return all tho. Love procedurally generated games and straight no bull shit run and gun fun

BTW is it true this game has no difficulty select? That does worry me! Id hate to make progress and get invested in the game and story and then hit a brick wall because the game becomes incredibly difficult.

Still not convinced on the idea of pushing the trigger half way in for primary fire and all the way in for secondary fire

Risk of rain2 is like $14... I don't think some 4k art is going to make this clone worth $70... Sorry game looks fun, but I can't justify the cost for it being what it is
ID: gr8wc9r...this isn't a risk of rain clone. Housemarque has been making fast paced bullet hell style games since the early 90's. This is the culmination of their life's work.
