I updated the drivers from 20.12.1 to 21.3.1 for my Vega 64 Blower and noticed a considerable drop in performance (fps drops, stuttering) in all of my games (COD MW, Skater XL, Star Wars Squadrons, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione). Skater Xl especially had no problem running on 144 fps, but with the update it started fluctuating a lot. Both Assetto Corsas lost considerable amounts of performance (100+ fps in AC before to barely able to hit 60 after. COD's average framerate dropped from 120+ fps to below 100 (in the 90s).
I rolled the drivers back to 20.12.1 and all the lost performance I managed to get back. I don't know if this is the place to post it but I figured it would get the attention of someone and maybe others can chime in about their experiences with vega 64 and the latest update (or a different card)
I read that it has happened to different graphics cards models and drivers before.

I am getting the exact same issues on 21.3.1.
6900XT, 5900X.
Smite before 21.3.1 gave me capped 144 FPS, after it's anywhere between 48 and 90 FPS with heavy stuttering.
Edit:
Going back to 21.2.2 fixes my performance issues.
ID: gsq212xID: gsqanc4same prob for me in warthunder - 6800XT nitro+se + 5800X - prev (vsync on) 75fps 100% all the time, with 21.3.1 drops to 30-50 depending on map etc, clockspeed stays low so i guess it has prob detecting 3D applications
ID: gsq7zzjYikes, I might hold off on the update for a bit then haha, sounds like they got something wrong there.

21.3.2 just release - might be worth a try.
ID: gsq8e0fSame performance issues there. Only fixed by going back to 21.2.2 for me.

Same hare on my RX580.
ID: gsqs52qWhat kind of performance loss are you having, and in what games?
ID: gsqthieIm playing only League of Legends. Fps counter is the same but its hard stuttering with same settings before update.

No such problems for me on the last update 21.3.1 I'm running them and everything is running as normal on vega56.
ID: gsqu613Same here. No problems on 21.3.1 with vega56

Post some details on what is happening.
Clocks, voltages, power usage, gpu usage, etc.
You can open the performance overlay with CTRL+SHIFT+O to view them in game, or use RTSS/Afterburner to track them.

I thought I was going crazy when my 56 lost performance with the update......

I noticed a significant drop on my sapphire reference 64 on updating as well with BL3, MCC, and PUBG.
The update did fix the freezing issue I got with the windows 10 update last week though.
-
Yep, same. Vega 56 here
-
So I wasn't imagining my fps loss. Good to know.

Same with 21.3.1 and 21.3.2 with an 6800XT, it looks like the clocks are normal but the usage dropped to the third that it used to be (from 90-95% to 30-35%) while having bad FPS.

That's crazy, I figured the problem must've been because vega 64 is an older card, but to hear it happening on a 6900XT, damn :/
