What ever happened to Beyond Good & Evil 2? Last we heard about it was around 2018. Has it been cancelled in light of the pandemic? Has anyone heard anything?

They're still working on it with a small team by the sounds of it.
But yeah it seems instead of dedicating E3 style conference time to it, it's only been getting dev blogs the past 2-3 years to update its status

Unlike say Assassins Creed or Far Cry that gets hundreds of staff thrown at them from the start.

It's gonna get cancelled. Even when they initially announced the game back in 2018 it already felt likw forever since they first officially announced the game back in 2008. Maybe 2028 theres gonna be another teaser for the game? Seems like a pattern

It's probably being rebuilt from the ground up for the 10th time. Going be a disappointment when and if it comes out. Can't imagine theanagement tram constantly fuckbuttering this up so many times. Going to be an empty shell like Anthem or Watxh Dogs Legion. GG ubisoft.

It's DEFINITELY not gonna be the game they originally envisioned. I still hope it's good but considering the game lead quit not only the game but the industry, I doubt it.

A small team? I would have thought because of the serie has a big name already, and people were hyped for the footage a few years back, they would get more funding. Looked great.
