The next BioShock will be an open-world game
2 : Anonymous2021/04/12 22:26 ID: gub1xhb

I hope when they said “open world” it’s more like Dishonored rather than Borderlands

3 : Anonymous2021/04/13 04:56 ID: guc84d6

I hope they mean like God of war

4 : Anonymous2021/04/13 01:11 ID: gubky73

Open ended levels are not open world.

5 : Anonymous2021/04/12 23:49 ID: gubbh4d

Dishonored could have used more of an open world, levels are tiny when you really look at them. I've been replaying this week, so my opinion is very fresh.

6 : Anonymous2021/04/13 03:58 ID: guc30fe

The entire Bioshock collection including all single player dlc is $10 (80% off!) right now on the PlayStation store. enjoy lmfao

7 : Anonymous2021/04/13 06:35 ID: gucfg0f

Bioshock Infinite was my favourite game of the PS3 era. I'm so starved for good content I'll take what I can get.

8 : Anonymous2021/04/13 08:42 ID: gucncin

Hard pass

9 : Anonymous2021/04/12 21:37 ID: guavzec

I am not really surprised. Bioshock would never be the same without Ken Levine.

10 : Anonymous2021/04/12 21:42 ID: guawm11

Bioshock 2 just entered the chat...

11 : Anonymous2021/04/12 21:50 ID: guaxkcd

This lol. It's like people forget it exists. I'm cautiously optimistic given the talent attached to Cloud Chamber Studios.

12 : Anonymous2021/04/12 23:14 ID: gub7jqr

I think BioShock 2 just supports this guy's claim.

13 : Anonymous2021/04/13 06:17 ID: guce72b

Ugh, God I hate Redditors. You all latch onto this one singular opinion about everything, suck it's dick 24/7, make sure to bring it up wherever you can and never, ever want to hear anyone else out or give new things a shot. No one cares that you think it'll suck or "never be the same" because it doesn't have "tEh aLmiGhTy kEn LeVIne". He's one man who had more ideas than he could ever put into fruition, and a lot of the time his ideas were just ramblings that were hard to grasp. Hell, the final product of Bioshock Infinite still has people confused as fuck, still trying to point out plot holes today. He's not as great of a writer or genius as Reddit would love to throw around, not at all.

14 : Anonymous2021/04/12 22:47 ID: gub4fk2

Sounds interesting to be honest.

I'd love an Oddworld open world game one day too.

15 : Anonymous2021/04/13 02:16 ID: gubsflx

I think there is, its apart of the oddworld trilogy its just not about abe !

16 : Anonymous2021/04/13 02:22 ID: gubt4wl

Yep, Strangers Wrath. It’s on the switch now too!

17 : Anonymous2021/04/13 02:41 ID: gubv6h0

For family physicians, obesity is one of the most challenging problems confronted in daily practice and despite the efforts of both patients and physicians, this disorder is increasing in prevalence.

18 : Anonymous2021/04/12 23:05 ID: gub6i95

Sounds weird at first, but when you think about how much the series has emphasized world building, it makes total sense. Can't wait to see what they come up with.

19 : Anonymous2021/04/13 01:53 ID: gubpv3x

I may be in the minority but this is terrible news.

20 : Anonymous2021/04/13 03:11 ID: gubybx8

Looking through this thread you are not the minority lol.

21 : Anonymous2021/04/13 03:36 ID: guc0u2r

It is terrible news.

22 : Anonymous2021/04/13 06:31 ID: gucf7tz

No Ken, no Bioshock 🙁

23 : Anonymous2021/04/13 08:17 ID: guclv4d

Why though?

24 : Anonymous2021/04/13 02:29 ID: gubtvqy

Who cares? It's just gonna be like the last one and most every open world game that releases nowadays: a theme park of pretty things to look at with little to no meaningful interactivity. Empty, soulless.

25 : Anonymous2021/04/13 01:57 ID: gubqaxf

Next they'll announce its live service and or always online single player / Co op.

26 : Anonymous2021/04/13 04:14 ID: guc4ey6

So sick of open world games. It's gone from ambitious to lazy.

27 : Anonymous2021/04/12 22:47 ID: gub4ese

open world = mile wide, inch deep, and riddled with microtrans

28 : Anonymous2021/04/13 01:11 ID: gubkw6n

Irrational games is out of business, who will make it?

29 : Anonymous2021/04/12 21:33 ID: guavh6j

Haven’t we known this for a while now?

That being said, I don’t really mind as long as they bring it back to Rapture. I think a Metroid style open world bioshock set in Rapture could be really cool, similar to how the open world in Control is.

30 : Anonymous2021/04/13 05:29 ID: gucapay

There is no more story left to tell in rapture. It’s been done.

31 : Anonymous2021/04/12 21:44 ID: guawwrz

That's probably not going to happen. A previous job listing last year suggested the game was going to take place in a brand new world/setting.

32 : Anonymous2021/04/13 07:05 ID: guchhvu

Next Bioshock? But that’s impossible Bioshock has ended

33 : Anonymous2021/04/13 07:15 ID: guci3m0

Ummm..... what now?

34 : Anonymous2021/04/13 08:57 ID: guco6uu

This is amazing news. I hope the world is just as immersive.

35 : Anonymous2021/04/13 09:18 ID: gucpecb

Oh god pls no

36 : Anonymous2021/04/13 09:44 ID: gucqxnc

Yay so cool and awesome. I hope there are at least 100+ markers on the map and it's blinking and shining to show me where it is:)

37 : Anonymous2021/04/13 10:25 ID: guctfat

Imagine roaming through the hole Columbia in one open world.

38 : Anonymous2021/04/13 10:58 ID: gucvnwu

For fucks sake, No!!

39 : Anonymous2021/04/13 12:12 ID: gud1ryw

Sounds like Fallout 76 all over again.

Edit: ok, probably not a good analogy. I didn't really think that one through. I take it back.

40 : Anonymous2021/04/13 12:29 ID: gud3f5i

...how?

41 : Anonymous2021/04/13 12:18 ID: gud2dad

Does anyone know if Ken Levine is directing it?

42 : Anonymous2021/04/13 12:29 ID: gud3ets

I am sick to death of open world games. What is wrong with level/segment based games?

43 : Anonymous2021/04/13 12:31 ID: gud3ns4

Ohh no

44 : Anonymous2021/04/13 13:05 ID: gud74r0

What is the gist of the story of Bioshock?

45 : Anonymous2021/04/13 21:04 ID: gueybxv

I hope it has some form of multiplayer, it’s very one of the main reason i loved Bioshock 2, besides the story ofc.

46 : Anonymous2021/04/13 00:59 ID: gubjkco

Ugh no more open world games

47 : Anonymous2021/04/12 23:09 ID: gub6wub

As someone who likes open world games, can we stop turning every game into an open world sandbox style experience? Sometimes u just want to roll through the chapters and enjoy a story, not drown in pointless secondary objectives for a few extra conversations...

48 : Anonymous2021/04/13 01:52 ID: gubpoqc

Better have some real skyhook rails this time

49 : Anonymous2021/04/13 04:16 ID: guc4mia

So just Fallout

50 : Anonymous2021/04/13 05:27 ID: gucajf4

Uh oh.

51 : Anonymous2021/04/13 06:25 ID: gucer3m

Just like the first one
