I mean why only 8 hours? At least give people 24 hours so people with different timezones, who works in that hours, who is busy in that hours, who is sleepimg that hours....etc can play the demo. Is 24 hours an extreme amount of time for this timed demo? I mean I understand some points about having a timed exclusive demo but why the hell 8 hours? Why not a day? I don't get this. Such an odd number. Why Sony accepting this? ıt's kinda weird that Sony is paying for this but only certain amount of people who happened to be on their ps at that spexific 8 hour window can play it. Not even a day... not even a half day... Nice job Capcom

3am to 11am on a workday monday morning..
Some of their timezone/regional choices were quite questionable indeed. Luckily I was able to use one of my off-region alt accounts to play at a proper time on the Sunday, but still I can't at all fathom the decision.

I think the timezones could ve been worked out better but in the end this is all just to create PR and streamer hype... which will probably work out considering how media and consumers work nowadays.

At least the full demo (both 30 min previews) will be available again when it’s multi platform in early May. It is an odd release schedule but I guess the 8 hours is for it being the 8th main RE game. I didn’t quite finish the demo for the village in 30 min but it has me hyped for the full release at least. I do like that there is a demo, but it’s again an odd release format for it. I almost don’t want to play the castle demo so I can play the full game without spoiling anything else. I am a RE fan though so for many they want to check if it is worth buying, I already preordered after the showcase personally. I get it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I can’t wait.

It really is ridiculous, why force us to rush through it with a 30 minute limit as well? I really wanted to take my time to soak in the atmosphere and explore the setting but I was worried about missing out because I ran out of time. I ended up finishing with 8 minutes left because I had no idea where the end was.
It basically removes all the advantages of a single-player demo with these restrictions, it’s almost like they want everyone to be speedrunners.

Dude I downloaded it like 5pm EST and took a nap until like 1am and I opened it and was PUMPED to play it and it just gave me a countdown to the next demo.. I straight faced my tv like never before.. so I just watched a play through lmao.

yeah timing was dumb, why not instead let people download the demo and play for 30 mins whenever they liked and then simply deactivate the demo on Monday?
I think that the online component was part of this, they wanted to ensure you couldn't simply delete the demo and replay it?

I was playing directly on hardcore mode. I took too much time fighting the Werewolves, which btw, hs they look really good, and literally ran out demo time as the main gates open.
Went back into the demo believing I had missed something, and it turned out I could no longer play it wtf. I have to wait until the next cicle.
Edit: I just learned that there was even a fucking shotgun somewhere in the demo! I guess that explains the ammo I found. -

The way I understood it, this is replacing a physical event. I understand not everyone can play it, but you aren’t entitled to a demo.

It’s a demo. If you missed it, look up a video or wait till next Saturday. Or the next. Or wait 2 weeks for the full game.
I understand it sucks to not get exactly what you want when you demand it, but sometimes that happens. Deal with it.
