Ngl, playing god of war at 60 fps vs 30 fps is SUCH a big difference! On PS4 I just played the story and it was "just good", but now at rock solid 60fps it's 12/10, replayed it on GMGOW, 100%'ed it, and now doing a NG+ on GMGOW cause I just cannot get enough of this smooth combat.

E: And downvoted of course. You fanboys are going to turn this subreddit into a Sony fanclub / echo chamber. It's ok to criticize Sony if they do something poorly (like the backwards compatibity).

As far as the FPS boost and all that, I agree, this lags far behind what the Xbox is doing. They seem to be making an effort to add improvements to games but idk if it will ever be as thorough as the competition.
That being said, the competition doesn't have even close to as many great games only available on their platform, so I think theres a tradeoff.

So this isn’t an announcement at all? It’s just propaganda to confuse people after not having anything to compete with FPS boost…. To be clear I have both series x and ps5. I love my ps5, but it’s certainly leaving a lot on the table. Like FPS boost, or vrr.

So far Microsoft boosted over 90 titles yet Sony can’t even bother boosting more than half a Dozent of their very own in-house titles. It’s this video suppose to set them up as a laughing stock?

Almost every PS4 game performs better when played on PS5. That is what this ad is about. Not only games with patches.

What on earth?…seems like these trailers are knee jerk reaction to Xbox? First backward compatibility trailer now game boost..focus on your strengths then the strengths of the competitor which does these things much better. This looks like poor mans fps boost.

They've been releasing these trailers every day for the last two weeks about features of the PS5.
This is like saying Microsoft shouldn't make ads for new games if they aren't as good as Sony's

I know this isn’t going to be a popular opinion here but currently the Series X really seems like the most capable console overall. I’m talking just about the console itself and it’s capabilities. Obviously we need proper next-gen games to really see but I’m just saying for right now.

Man, we are having more trailers about PS5 features than the PS5 it self. What I hate is that we already know about all of those features since the launch. Its like like they are stretching and breaking the launch into smaller vague "trailers". For what? Youtube views??

I've been seeing a lot of games for Xbox get 'game boosts' far more regularly than Playstation. I wish it worked in such a way where you put in a PS4 disc into Ps5 and it just makes it run better.

There is a serious lack of understanding here. Xbox is fooling you with gimmicky marketing terms. PS5 will hit 60 FPS on any game that has an unlocked framerate with it's own boost, they just haven't advertised it well.
There are more than 500 games that natively hit 60 FPS on PS5.

Yes!!! Finally they need to get on it Xbox has a huge list of boosted games that’s why I play the boosted titles on my series x but I love my Ps5 ❤️

So we got the official logo of game boost and why does shadow of the colossus is being shown when there isn't a patch that allowed it to benefit from game boost? the other 2 games received a patch.

It’s odd that some new ps5 games can run at 120, and look beautiful on my tv that can utilize 120hz, but an older game could struggle to get to 60.
Obviously I know nothing of coding so I’ll see my self out, but it’s still odd to me.

I'm just really hoping for Horizon Zero Dawn The Last of Us 2 60fps patch. I'm sure that power is there. Hope that recent MS move where they patch a lot of games to double the framerate will push them to do so.

Why is shadow of the colossus on here? Iirc it runs worse on PS5 than it did on the pro.

Unlike Xbox games have to manually adjusted to do so or be unlocked FPS.
I see no “gAmE bOoSt” on blood born, vampyr, to name a few. Thanks Jim Ryan for your usual backwards thinking. At least Phil pushes the team to run the BC games with real boosted resolution frame and AF 16x.
