The Yuffie story is separate from Intergrade (aka PS5 upgrade). Yuffie's story is $19.99.

Does anyone know if upgrading to the digital deluxe will overwrite the PS+ status? The store shows it’s a $20 upgrade for the digital edition, so I’m wondering if it’ll read as a full version of the game when it comes time to upgrade.

So Nomura basically told us the story mainly follows the original game. My favorite quote from the article.

Part 1's... stuff... basically just gives them quite literal, literary freedom... a built in-game excuse as to why things were a little different then and might be moving forward.

I'm excited for it! I dont think any of us really wanted a scene-for-scene, word-for-word, FF7 Remake... did you?

I mean he can say that all he wants but Yuffie being trusted for a Wutai mission in Midgar goes against her original story arc.

I guess a lot of that has to do with her character being a completely optional character in the og. And it would be weird to include her as she originally appeared. I accept the way they’re giving us Yuffie as a fair trade off.

I just got my PS5 yesterday and can't wait for this DLC! I have the PS4 disc version, does anyone know if I can preload the free upgrade when it becomes available so it's ready to go on release day?

I can’t wait to see how Yuffi pulls her meta ninja tricks on the player in the remake. It was really memorable and made her stand out as a character.

I'm having a hard time figuring this out because of all their weird names and cross-gen stuff. I sold my PS4 copy of FF7 Remake after I beat it. Can I just purchase this DLC like it’s a standalone game, or am I going to need to have the PS5 version of FF7 Remake in order to even purchase it?

You're going to need the game to play the DLC, which is Intergrade. I guess you can try buying back a PS4 copy at a cheap price and then buy the $20 DLC, selling that physical copy after you're done with the DLC.
