Summary of the issue
Still getting the USB dropouts, mostly in form of consistent crackling of my microphone audio that is connected via a USB audio interface. Playback audio over my speakers is fine though.Reliable but annoying temporary fix
If I start Cubase (audio sequencer), the problem consistently goes away. That's my reliable go-to fix right now. I thought this might help in identifying the problem and creating a fix. I'm guessing once it is started, Cubase does something in the way of giving audio services priority over other processes, which fixes it.System configuration
MoBo: Asus TUF Gaming B550M-Plus Wifi
BIOS: 2201 (AGESA V2 PI 1.2.0.2), but also previously with 2006 and 1804
CPU: Ryzen 5600X
PSU: Corsair RM650X
Memory: 32GB G.Skill Ripjaws Dual Channel 3800 Mhz
GPU: GTX 660
OS: Windwos 10 Pro x64 (Version 19042.985)
Application: Discord, Teams, Zoom etc. but NOT in Cubase or if Cubase is runningSteps to reproduce
Basically just open any of the conference apps like Discord or Zoom. It does seem to only appear once I'm not alone in a conference room (and not if I do a mic check in the Discord settings). -
So, ive been having really bad fps issues with this PC since ive had it, which is about 2 years ago now.
So I decided to run Timespy just to see and damn, the score from my Ryzen 2700x sucks. Compared to most other people using one my score is like, 3000+ points lower. My frames must be a CPU issue, ive changed my GPU with another of the same, didnt fix it, also the ram has been changed.
Ill post my specs below, along with my average frames with games and also a pic of my entire timespy results.
My Specs are as follows.
RTX 2080TI (No overclock - Have tried and doesnt do anything)
Ryzen 2700x (no overclock - Have tried and doesnt do anything)
16GB DDR4 @ 3200mhz
Games installed on a NVME SSD
Playing in 1080p @ 144hz
Average frames are as follows.
Biggest example: - I have been playing Days Gone, with my spec people have been getting frames with an average of 140fps, @ 1080p max settings. With Dips to no less than 100. Im getting an average of 70fps with dips into the low 50's all the time, lowest ive seen is 49fps thus far. Its not like its a stutter to that frame, its @ 49fps until I move away from that area, then when I come back the frames tank again, even then, the highest ive ever seen it go it 90, and thats in the middle of nowhere with nothing on screen. Even with everything happening benchmarks show specs like mine never dropping to 49, hell not even dropping below 100. This should NOT be happening with a PC like this.
Call of Duty: Warzone - Average of 60fps with frequent dips to 52 fps @ 1080p (changing settings from highest to lowest settings does literally nothing).
Call of Duty: Black Ops, Cold War - Average of 60fps with frequent dips to 55 fps @ 1080p (changing settings from highest to lowest settings does very little)
Cyberpunk 2077 - Average of 40fps without raytracing, average of 30 with raytracing @ 1080p (Changing from highest to lowest settings only gives me about 10 more fps).
Horizon: Zero Dawn - Average of 55fps @ 1080p, changing from highest to lowest settings nets me about 20fps giving me an average of 75fps but still dips below 60 in some areas).
DayZ: Standalone - Average of 50fps @ 1080p, changing settings doesnt do anything.
World of Warcraft - Average of 52fps @ 1080p (Changing from highest settings to the lowest settigns nets a huge performance gain, this is the only game that has this effect. Ill sit at about 100fps with everything as low as it can go)
Valorant - Average of 120fps @ 1080p (Changing from highest to lowest settings changed the average to about 140fps, also @ 1080p)
Escape from Tarkov - Average of 50fps @ 1080p with drops to 45fps fairly often (Changing settings does practically nothing)
Ive done everything you can think of to fix my frames.
So, does anyone here have any clue to whats going on, temps are always fine on both the GPU and CPU, so are the clock speeds. So no throttling, ive reinstalled windows countless times, even fresh install with nothing on my pc but drivers and one game to test, ive reset the cmos, clean drivers.
Im at a complete loss.
EDIT: Doesnt seem to let me post a picture for some reason.
My GPU Score (2080ti) was 13,534
My CPU Score (Ryzen 2700x) was 7,438

Summary of Issue:
PC black screens with audio still
on when gaming (it may or may not restart). Game also feels slowed down but
this has never happened before.
When powering on again and trying to
open Radeon Software it shows a window that reads "no AMD graphics
driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly".
So I have to uninstall and install the drivers again.
This has been happening for more
than a year with two different AMD Radeon RX 570 cards (it started happening so
they replaced it, but it keeps happening).
I’ve run stress tests with FurMark
(800*600, Anti-aliasing off) and the computer also black screens at 79º C. I’ve
run stress tests with OCCT for CPU without crashing but reaching ≈83 ºC.
Event Viewer shows a Critical Error on Kernel-Power with an Event ID (41).
I tried both downgrading and upgrading drivers, but it doesn’t help. Windows is
also up to date. I’ve run the command SFC /SCANNOW, it shows some
corrupted files are repaired but still happened.
There’s been periods of months when
I play regularly without this happening. But suddenly it started happening
again.

there were no gpus in my country and I had to get the rx 6900xt, I got it mainly for VR. I made a bad decision? or amd vr drivers support will become way better overtime? or they will always have problems?

So im not very good with computers, but ive been having this issue where both of my screens will flash black mid game or about a second then comeback. Today, something different happened. The game froze for about 5 seconds before both of the screens went black for about 15 seconds before the game crashed. Then, on my screen an AMD Radeon software message popped up that said "We detected a driver timeout that has occurred on your system." Unfortunately, i do not know how to recreate the occurrence because it seems to be completely random when i play.

PBO Curve Optimizer Problems:
I'm trying to get my Curve Optimizer setup for my Ryzen 7 5800x (NZXT Kraken X53 cooler, Asus Crosshair Dark Hero MOBO), and I think I'm doing something wrong with curve optimizer. I've been researching the topic and found through some previous posts/guides a method I thought would work, but my curve optimizer has been bumped up to an ALL Core -30 offset.
This just didn't seem right to me and makes me think I have something wildly off. I have settings enabled in the AMD/Overclocking Menu of my motherboard, with PBO set to advanced, PPT,TDC,EDC limits set to default Ryzen (105W TDP) limits, scalar set to Auto, and Max Boost to 200mhz. So far, it seems "stable", as I've passed several runs of OCCT and Prime 95 single thread (10-20ish minutes each), with an affinity set for my two preferred cores in task manager), as well as multiple stronger multi-core stress tests, and have had no crashes or errors yet.
I'm assuming my 5800x isn't just wildly better than every other chip I've seen post Curve optimizer results for, so does anyone have any idea what may be wrong here? I've also noticed that my Core VID's do not vary (HWINFO64 latest stable release), even when I had only offsets for the preferred cores set, so I am not sure if that matters, or if I am looking for the wrong voltage to be lowered.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.ID: h19u3qeOffset of -30 on several cores isn't unheard of. It might be you just got very consistent quality across all 8 cores.
claimed a similar experience, and my own CPU seems to behave the same. I can run -30 on all 8 cores with +200 boost. How high it actually boosts depends on temperature. Right now it is 17C here so mine is boosting quite well- 5050 effective clock on 2 cores, 5030ish on the remaining 6. Not much stability testing with these settings though- only half an hour of OCT cycling cores every 20 seconds. I usually run it at -20 CO with +150 boost since I see very little performance improvement by going further.Edit: Cinebench R23 1645 single, 16220 multi. CPUz 691single 7055 multi.

RX 5700 XT runs on low core clock speed when VRAM speed is set high
Hi, I've been mining Ethereum for about 3 and a half months, without any real issues regarding to overclocking. Up until now, I was mining at 1900Mhz VRAM clock, and about 1400Mhz Core Clock which gave me nearly the maximum hash rate for my card.
If core clock was set to 1200Mhz there would be a very noticable drop in performance.
Recently I started having a problem where if my I set my VRAM above a certain clock speed (right now it's 1850Mhz), then my core clock speed would go down to about 1200 Mhz, regardless of how much I'm setting it to run at.
Examples:Vram at 1840Mhz:
(clock speed is fine)Vram at 1850Mhz:
(much lower clock speed)Another extreme example:
Does anyone know why this happens and how can I fix it? my ideal is to run my gpu at 1900Mhz VRAM and 1400Mhz Core.
I'm using the Sapphire Pulse RX 5700 XT (21.3.1 driver after DDU uninstallation), I also tried 21.4.1 and 21.5.2 but had the same issue.
Thanks for helping

Hey guys! I noticed that for few days my GPU started to be so hot with the driver 21.4.1. Like i start the computer with the tunning on "Automatic" and the video card goes from 40 to 60 celsius degrees in less than 5 minutes, then the fans are starting at around 1500RPm, temperature goes to 40 again and again up to 60 every 5 minutes. Paranoic or not i don't remember the video card to go like this in 5 minutes. I didn't manage to check temperatures untill few days ago, so i don't know if this is normal or my video card has a problem. I'm using it only on low profile games and office, not minning or high end games.. Should be a problem or normal to go 60 degrees in idle on temps for an XFX Rx570 8GB?
-
HI, i have the following problem...
In some games my GPU just stays at 10%usage and the core clock never exceeds 500mhz, which results in terrible performance. I just noticed that behaviour after i tried launching FO76... the problem also exists in League of legends
I then tried some other games and they ran just fine, without any hiccups.
I've read about adding the specific game as a tuning profile in the radeon software and adjusting the minimum frequency it should run that game at, which just does not work for those games. :/
I hope you can help me out there. since i don't know what to do..
Maybe some of you also had problems like that and knows a fix.
Heres my Specs:

Need help !! 3900x Overheating & shutting down after 20-30min of gaming. Temperature before shut down = 107 degree Celsius (checked with msi afterburner)
Updated the bios few days ago for resizable bar.

Is the poor performance is destiny 2 fixed yet? The game has been basically unplayable in the past. I'm honestly considering selling my 6900xt card at this point. Does anyone know if they have fixed the issues?

PC cold boots after upgrading to 5800x, trying to boost ram speed to 3600. Specs: MSI x570 Gaming Plus 5800x, RX 570 16 gig of crossair, 16 of rip jaw, I took out the crossair just in case. Both 3600hertz. It's locked at 2144, I tried boosting and it crashes unless I flash my bios. I can't update my bios or cold boot. I'm stuck on what to do. I can get it to launch with 32 gigs, it's just not at 3600 hertz.

5800X and 6800XT. As soon as I try to play an intense game (Control) the CPU fans ramp near to max. It doesn't make any sense. The fan profile doesn't ramp up (in BIOS) until 65C but they are going near full blast when Ryzen master is reading 55C on the CPU.
The odd thing is they will not slow back down even after the game is quit (or crashes).
My UPS also beeps a warning sometimes too, which is why I think it might be power related.
I don't get it. The UPS and kill-a-watt both report 350-500watts of power draw, both of which are well below my Corsair AX760s max rating.
GPU temp stays below 80C.
Any ideas on what this could be?

NEED HELP So I have a Corsair AIO pump and it’s reading 4500 rpm but temps r going above 70c. I’ve tried taking it off, swapping ports, even shaking the dam thing for bubbles, nothing. It was working less then 24 hours ago so I hv actually no clue what’s going on. I went to move the mount and when I screwed it back on temps are crazy. Please help.

My friend updated CPU from Ryzen 2600 to Ryzen 5600x, keeping his Asrock B450 Pro4 motherboard. He did BIOS update successfully and installed new ram (Crucial Ballistix 3600). His problem that he is having is that his audio cuts out randomly. In Discord, he can hear everything still but his voice cuts out. In games like Valorant or League of Legends, his audio that he hears cuts out.
Fixes we have tried:
Update audio drivers via Asrock website Disable other audio drivers in Device Manager Disable C-state in BIOS sfc /scannow Audio Playback Troubleshooting wizard Plugging headphones into different USB and headphone jacks (still persists) Updated NVIDIA drivers, including NVIDIA HD Audio Updated Chipset drivers to 6/2/21 version Perused Event Viewer for any common errors. Nothing seemed to stick out. Changed RAM timings to those recommended by his RAM manufacturerPossible clues:
USB system tray icon flickers Task manager reveals CPU spiking coinciding with audio cutting sometimes Clock speeds drastically fluctuate from around 3600GHz to 4500GHz -

Description of Original Problem:
With 21.4.1 drivers, I see a very low score in the 3DMark DirectX Raytracing feature test: 27.41 FPS. I see something abnormal in the monitoring logs: the GPU Memory Clock Frequency seems to drop down quite a lot and is very unstable. Only see this kind of behavior in DirectX Raytracing feature test.
The issue is fixed if I roll back to 21.2.3. With 21.2.3 drivers I see 32.18 FPS.
All drivers after 21.2.3 seem to have the problem!
Have any of you seen this issue?

Tried clean re-installing GPU drivers, to me that sounds more like an issue with another app.
Hi guys, I need a mobo with 3 PCIe 4.0 slots, I came to know that X570 chipset would be a better choice than the B550?
What should I go for?
ASUS ROG Strix X570 E-Gaming, GIGABYTE X570 AORUS PRO WiFi or MSI Meg X570 Unify?
My requirement is best possible NVMe speeds and best performance across 3 GPUs I'll be using.
I got to know X570 has a PCIe 4.0 CPU link compared to the 3.0 on the B550?
Will I be able to get 7.4 Gbps read on the latest NVMes released on any of these? Which one is better? Please reply ASAP. Thanks in advance.
Should GPU utilization spike in Fallout 76? I see people on youtube don't spike. Mine goes from 100% to 25% and everywhere inbetween. RX580
A couple of weeks or so ago I updated my drivers for my GPU using the Radeon desktop app and it looks like they've changed the layout. There used to be a big check for updates button on the main page but that's gone and I can't find the button anywhere. Anyone know where it's been moved to?
Hi guys, so i have recently ordered a RX 6700 XT GPU, and i Know there are some performance boost if i pair it with a ryzen cpu, im Running an i7 8700k at the moment, but is the differencen Really that big ?
SAM only gives you about 10% perf in games at most. Some games you wont get any performance at all. So it is up to you if it is worth it. If you think that switching to AMD platform is worth it for the money then do it. I personaly wouldnt throw away money for new mobo and cpu just to get the few extra fps... Totaly up to you 🙂
Tldr: I am running an 6900xt with an 5900x and turning sam off vs on really just gets me 10% more fps at max. Some games not at all.
Hello guys, I've tried everything for my Thinkpad laptop with 3700u but it looks like I can't play HDR videos over 1080p on my device via Edge/Chrome...I've tried also another browser, but it looks like it didn't work... I have the latest available driver for my graphic card(27.20.21003.8013), but still doesn't work properly, cpu it's at 100% always..What can I do in order to improve my performance? Network it's not a problem, I have 1Gbps wired connection
6900xt runs hot in micro ITX case:
I have a 5950x (Corsair H80i V2 cooler on the front intake) and Sapphire 6900xt Nitro+ crammed into my Lian Li TU-150 case (w/ glass side and no vent). 750W Corsair SFX PSU. The M2 add-on card sits JUST ABOVE above the top of the GPU core, making both hotter and reducing airflow. The GPU runs hot. Like 110C for the hot spot temperature in HW monitor in MSFS2020 or Metro Exodus, other tepsvary between mid 70's to mid 80's. There's 2X 120mm vents at the bottom of the case that weren't pulling in much air. I put 2X Noctua NF-A12x15 PWM slim fans under it for intake. The 6900xt practically rests on the fans but temps were a bit better once I maxed out the RPMs. I have one 120mm Noctua exhaust fan. I have been lowering the power of the GPU by 5% to keep the hot spot temps under 105C. Considering getting the metal vented side panel to replace the glass one. Taking the glass panel helps the temps a bit but cant leave it that way with my cats. Should I take more drastic actions to reduce the temps?
This was my first run at a micro ITX build. I was planning on a 5900X and 6800XT to keep temps at bay in the small case but couldn't find stock and ended up with the better and hotter models...
I'm just gonna link the full post I made and hope that someone from here can help me out, and thank you!

What board do you have? Are you running the latest BIOS updates? Is XMP enabled in BIOS?
