- Remaking Demon's Souls - Noclip Documentary Teaser (Coming this July)
-
I seeing people trying to downplay the PS5 launch by calling this a “70$ Remastered”.
Bruh, calling this a remastered is such a insult to the top talent devs that put there hear and soul in this.
ID: h0lp1pmID: h0lrn3vNot sure if you know this but they got motion capture actors to recreate each and every combat animation. Every weapon type & their movesets were recreated by actual actors instead of just animating them. That alone raises the quality above the other titles you mentioned.
EDIT: here is an article describing what I’m talking about in detail. Worth a read.
ID: h0lszvrWhile you’re right to bring that up. People are still misinforming others by calling this a remastered and pushing their console war BS.
Complain about the price sure, but don’t take a passive dump on other peoples work
ID: h0me1nlI think a proper graphical overhaul of with some quality of life changes thrown in is worth full price. At least its not like Nintendo releasing skyward sword full priced with a couple of changes.
ID: h0mhcapIf there was ever a game, remake or not, that is worth $70 it’s this one
ID: h0mepivIn case you didn’t know this….there’s remakes, and then there’s BluPoint Games remakes…
ID: h0m1ko3It's still too expensive, there is currently a sale and it's down to £60 which is still a bit crazy.

Man, love NoClip. One of the best series on Youtube.

Awesome, looking forward to this. I'll be mentally thinking the entire time "how could this be applied to a bloodborne remake" lol
ID: h0motsyI may be alone on this but I don’t think BB needs a remake. It could use a resolution and FPS boost but otherwise I’d leave it alone. Bluepoint is awesome, but the DS remake took some liberties with the art design and I wouldn’t wanna see a single thing about Bloodborne altered except for image quality and frame rate. It would certainly be a visual treat though.

Wow, I'm really glad they put the effort into making this
-
ive watched a few Noclip documentaries (the FF14 one is really good) so im excited to check it out
-
first time playing it was yesterday and this really does feel like a next gen game... never felt like a remaster
ID: h0ll2faOther than the A.I
ID: h0m6wonOh yes definitely, especially in the man-eaters fight holy shit the AI there is god awful it's actually a bit comedic
ID: h0lsh2kI know that exact feeling, I remember playing it Day 1, going through the tutorial area and being amazed at the graphics. Especially when you get to the tutorial boss

This game needs dlc, im thirsting for more content
-
Let's hope that's not all they're remaking for PS5!!!!
Metal Gear next, please!
-
Oh, really looking forward to this! They did such an amazing job with the remake.
-
Can Sony buy this amazing studio already ?

Will we find out why they took so much liberty with some enemy designs and overall aesthetics? The Maneaters in the remake didn’t even resemble the concept art. I struggle to understand why they were so inconsistent with what to change and what to leave alone
ID: h0l8n5bHuh? I just googled to see the difference with the maneater and its just the same but looks much much nicer like everything else in the game?
ID: h0m2f27There was a good discussion on the demon’s souls subreddit at the time. The changes are subtle but the bluepoint redesigns are less tortured, more “angry” if that makes sense. Some say their redesigns have a more western influence. Look at the face and expression of maneater in both. It’s not necessarily bad, but whenever there is a redesign there will always be discussion around the original artist intent and if that’s been maintained. The issue bluepoint probably had with Demon’s Souls is if they kept the designs faithful it would probably clash with the more modern graphics and might come across more goofy than serious.
ID: h0m7c3uThey look less "statue" like, which actually does fit in with their lore better than the og

While what you’re saying is true, $70 for a remake is a bit… much. The Mafia remake was $40, the Crash trilogy remake was $40, and even Sony’s own other remakes retailed at $40. I’d even accept $60 but $50 is what it should’ve been.
