Reviews don't matter to me on this one. It's a new Ratchet & Clank game. That's literally all I need.

He said time from start to plat was about 26 hours.
ID: h0xa8kaThe only thing I want to hear in a review is something along the lines of “Best Ratchet game in a very long time”. Something like that. I def don’t want to hear anything like “very similar in length and style to 216’s R&C” because while that game is fine, it’s def not worth $70.

ID: h0xl28hThat is the wrong question. You should ask "I just wanna know how fun it is". I played Valhalla for over 200 hours and had actual fun for just around 5-7 hours when I wasn't travelling from point A to point B or trying to open a door for the 100th time.
You do you. This is just my take. You shouldn't focus on a game's length. It will just force companies to create huge filler mediocre games which are way less expensive and time consuming than compact fun games.
ID: h0xm3emThat’s not how it worked, they worked on it before devkits were released with approximate software. If they were waiting for the devkit there would be no PS5 exclusives out right now.

Hard to believe this won't be great, but on principle I'm holding off ordering until I see the review consensus. I expect 8/10 or higher.
Landed a PS5 just in time for this, to the relief of my kids, who are big Ratchet fans.

I would just be there to see the praise. Still think Returnal deserves a 90+ metacritic score. Let's see where this goes. My body is so ready!

Already pre-ordered it. Considering about the spoiler, maybe just see the scores and make myself more hyped 🙂

Already have it pre-ordered and pre-installed. Of you are a PS5 early adopter this is kind of the game you've been waiting for. This is the true kick off of "next gen".

ID: h0ybbdbI loved Returnal and it has a few next-gen bells and whistles, but I'd say it's not quite breaking PS4 boundaries the way Ratchet seems like it will.

I almost never pre-order games, but Insomniac is one of the exceptions I'll make, along with ND and Fromsoft. I can't think of the last time they made a bad game, and they seem really excited about this one.

I've never been a fan of the Ratchet and Clank/Jak and Daxte
Cooper type games. Ready to be whelmed. -
Do we have a time? Simply saying "tomorrow" is not accounting for time zones. Tomorrow for me is in almost 6 hours.

This is one of those games where I already know it's a damn masterpiece and I don't have to worry about reviews. Been a fan since the first one on PS2. Insomniac makes great games.
ID: h0x5hgkEven if it isn't a masterpiece (though I do think it will be) I know I'm going to have fun with it. That's all I really need to justify my pre-order.
I've had a lot of fun with 70-ish rated games and miserable experiences playing near unanimous GOTYs. I'd bet far more than $70 that this one will be a lot of fun.
