Hello! How are you? I have a small question. Would a AMD Radeon RX Vega 7 graphics laptop that's CPU is a Ryzen 5 5500U with 16 gigabits of 3200 MHZ dual channel memory get more FPS in games like GTA 5/ GTA V than a laptop with Intel Iris XE G7 96EU graphics that's CPU is a i7-1165G7 and also has 16 gigabits of 3200 MHZ dual channel memory? Thanks in advance!

Very close in performance, however the drivers are far better for games on Vega.
Alot of games, while the avg fps is decent on Intel XE the frame times can be pretty bad.

Basically it goes like this on Intel you run a game and get 50fps.... but the lighting is all broken or some shader is black etc... so kinda pointless to compare.
AMD's Vega drivers are very stable and work well most of the time. And gets updates for game compatibility that Intel's GPU likely wont get or won't get for as long.
See here many games fail to run at all on intel take higher FPS with a grain of salt, as often its going faster because it's entirely failing to render things:

It sounds like you want to only play GTA5? If you have fast enough internet I would recommend trying it on xCloud if you have Gamepass Ultimate. I have played it on xCloud and it is very playable. No computer upgrade needed if this works for you.

You're not going to do much on any system with only 16 gigabits of RAM these days...
ID: h0xj39816 gigabits=2 gigabytes. 8 gigabits=1 gigabyte. Same for kilobits, terabits, megabits, petabits, et cetera

5500U being 6c/12t gets my vote. Gpu drivers are probably better on Radeon side for gaming compared to Intel as well.

If you're getting it to play games buy a laptop with a discrete gpu. Literally any current discrete gpu will outperform.

The two are very close, and neither is really fast enough to run GTA V at anything above lowest setting.
ID: h0xj8pkThank you! Which is a little bit faster than the other although? And yes, I know that, but lowest settings are fine with me.
ID: h0xjb20The difference is within 5% either way depending on the game.

Thank you! Also, if I may ask, which is a little bit better than the other as you said both are very close in performance.
