Edit: I'm talking about the price of the console is more as it has the game bundled with it. I know buying them separately will cost you the same amount. My point is that PS5 is flying off the shelves and you might as well use this as an opportunity to sell some of your software as no one will object to paying 70 extra if that gets them the console.

Got a call from the store where I reserved a PS5 disco edition, asking if I want to change it to the Ratchet & Clank bundle. Got a confirmation etc already so think it's the real deal
ID: h1bebeeThis right here. Scalpers would be reduced if retailers just required people to preorder and pick it up in person. A nice orderly queue instead of a jump ball or scrum every few weeks.

ID: h1ap812Dang man I’m really sorry to hear that. My best advice would be to get Twitter and follow a few accounts that notify you of drops. I can’t remember the names but I followed like 3 or 4 of them. To be honest, I got super lucky. I remember I got a notification of a drop while I was driving. When I got home 10 minutes later I was still able to purchase one. I had to get a bundle at GameStop if that helps.

ID: h1adb4eOut here in the states scalpers are still selling the PS5s for $800. We won't be seeing inventories loosen until that number comes closer to retail. It's a good sign though. It means scalpers are sitting on too much stock and dropping prices.
It's insane to me though, that scalpers think their bullshit is worth the same as a retail box with a warranty plan. Even at $500-$600, I wouldn't buy anything over $200 without a warranty plan in place.

Honestly PlayStation is killing it right now. Love the Ratchet and Clank TV ad as well. PlayStation is firing on all cylinders and then some.
