Yeah there is no way this runs good on old-gen lmao
ID: h1ndukcID: h1o47b8I was side by side with my brother in his OG Xbox and I was using my Series X. It was embarrassing how bad BFV looks on the X Box One.
ID: h1o6003Bf1 still looks very good on my OG day 1 ps4.
ID: h1nfnfpI’m glad that they’ve focused on next gen a lot, it would be really disappointing if they kept it 32v32 on small maps.
ID: h1nr0kvThere’s a reason why last gen is 64 players and not 128. It will run just fine
ID: h1nrwjhI know, but it will probably look worse too

This might be minor to some people…but changing out loadouts in real-time instead of waiting on spawn is such a neat quality of life feature. To be able to actively test out loadouts and see what works is gonna be fun and will make it easier for players to find their grooves quicker.
ID: h1nem7tIt will change some of the risk reward strategy, but I think it will ultimate fix a ton of respawning just to mildly change your load out.
For example, putting a long scope on your assault rifle to take out a super annoying sniper and then taking it off to rejoin a key close quarters battle.
I just hope it doesn't lead to cheese with things like flashlights, infrared scopes, etc.I hope they can maybe put a cool down in for certain changes it if it becomes an issue. Night vision and infrared scopes were situationally OP but you had to suffer their weaknesses in non ideal battles.
ID: h1nfiiwin BF4, I had to die so many times because I put the wrong attachment on, forgot an attachment or unlocked an attachment. hopefully, this also makes gameplay more fluid so we spend more time actually in game.
ID: h1nxx4tit's just more casualization, you test what works on the battlefield, literally and if it doesn't then you get punished and die.
ID: h1ne1yfThey took the feature from the Crysis series… i’m surprised no other game besides this has used it
ID: h1o1862Didn’t Metro Exodus have it?
ID: h1nufskSo clutch for an annoying vehicle where you want to take it out but then get back to the gunfight.
ID: h1ni2qnI'm not really a fan personally. I like the fact that normally there are trade-offs you have to make. Do you want to be better at range or up close? It looks like you can switch almost instantly so I imagine some sweaty players will be switching constantly for optimal results.
ID: h1nqb38Maybe there's a limit to what you can bring out with you? Like one RDS and one zoom scope? The menu they showed didn't look ok like it had every item available. Best t maybe it was a low progression account.
ID: h1nrrwbBF has been going in this direction for a while now, though. It all started with reducing the number of classes, then increasing the type of weaponry each class can use. Now every class can use every weapon and they have this weapon mod system. The only difference between them is the skin and gadget.
BF has been dumbing itself down ever since BF2, which was the last in the franchise that really emphasized squad cooperation. I'm willing to bet that DICE saw that they couldn't get the level of coordination they wanted from a pub squad and decided to just dumb down all the systems in order to improve the solo experience. It's why commander mode is completely scrapped as well.
BF2 was just an amazing game and the pinnacle of the BF franchise, but there's no overstating just how much more accessible later games in the series are for solo, pub players. Which is the vast majority of the playerbase.
It also helps with killing downtime. They did the same thing with vehicles, especially in BattleFront, where you get them at the front lines now rather than having a quarter of your team waiting at base for one. They want people playing the game even when they're waiting for vehicles and I imagine this change is to keep people out of menu screens as much as possible.

That was short but really cool! Watching jackfrags break it down rn
-
Wing suits, grappling hooks, tornadoes, Jets, and BF style FPS. This is all I’m playing this fall, can’t wait.
ID: h1nh5zzsame, there’s so many boring people complaining about their precious realism. this looks fun.
ID: h1nijq2I’m just worried about the lack of destruction we’ve seen so far
ID: h1nvxjiI'm sure they don't want to blow their whole load right away. They need to leave some experiences for release.
ID: h1nnj0jit’s alpha footage, Im guessing we will see destruction on the beta.
-
Actually stoked for this game. Playing BFV on PS5 has been pretty fun, hoping this one is even better.
-
Cant wait to Renderzook people in this game
-
Looks dope! But I really, really want to see destruction
ID: h1ni7x7It's a bit worrying that they didn't really show anything off. I hope it's freeform destruction and not on-rails.
ID: h1nutduI don’t. All the buildings will be gone in seconds on a 128 server. They touched on it. There will be RNG and different depending on weapon power. For example, your rocket hitting the corner of the building may destroy anywhere from some crumbling to blowing it off.
I hope big buildings take a lot to take down. That’s hire real warfare is. It takes a serious air strike to drop a building irl
ID: h1o64pnLevelution returns

"The year is 2042. The world is a wasteland because everyone ignored climate change, except for game devs who put cool tornadoes and tsunamis into their games. True heroes."
-
Oh yeah, definitely gonna be a Battlefield year for me. Especially with cod going back to ww2. This looks like the Battlefield game I've been waiting for since 4
-
JIHAD JEEP
-
Probably an unpopular opinion but I would prefer if the match changes like storms would be randomised instead of us knowing a sandstorm is coming
Like one match its a tornado, the next is the sandstorm or sometimes you get both.
I know it's not possible to have a sandstorm in non desert areas but you get the idea
ID: h1np7rlI think that's the case with the tornadoes in some maps, think the games "lore" is pushing it towards 2142 and a second ice age meaning there's supercells forming around the world
-
I have the money and want the game. But spending $70 on when pc and last gen costs less AND being multiplayer only + battle pass is hard by principle.
And seeing how dice handled the live service model BFV (and tried to do MTX in Battlefront 2) doesn't help .
They have proven they can do a campaign (although I would prefer a coop story that emphasizes squad play) before especially in the Bad Company series so outright removing it is so lame, but I think that's mostly due to EA rushing them again as always.
Atleast it's not like Overwatch where it was $20 more on consoles.
-
I think the next Battlefield title animation will just be a seizure.
-
Is it possible to play with mouse & keyboard on PS5? One thing BFV quickly taught me is, as historically a PC gamer, I SUCK at FPS with a controller.
-
Any word yet on if this new BF game will increase the "default" server tick rate? Or is it still 30hz like it is now on BF3/4/1/5, and has been since the PS3 era.
How well is a 128 person 60fps game going to work on old 30hz servers?
Mix in all the high ping out of region players (since they don't region lock), and I expect the network related issues are bound to spoil what may otherwise be a fun good looking game.
(Reminds me of all the day 1 issues with the BF4 PS3/PS4 cross gen release)
-
This seems like the type of game I would enjoy for ten hours and then start getting incredibly frustrated by once the wow factor wears off.
-
Looks like a remake of bf4 tbh
ID: h1nignsThat is what most fans have been asking for basically.
ID: h1nlarcI thought we all wanted more 2142? This still looks killer. If it has commander mode it's a day 1. (on PC)
ID: h1nfctcWhich is great
ID: h1nh1zvand BF4 looks like a remake of BF3, which looks like a remake of BF2, which looks like a remake of BF 1942. it’s just modern/futuristic battlefield game, it’s not going to look completely different to the previous installments.
-
I just wish there was more maps!
With no campaign, the minimum number of levels should've been 10.
ID: h1o1ovjno at least 100
ID: h1ocm5gYou do realize the maps are 4x the size of BF5 maps?
-
What is this garbage? and no official Battlefield theme? Where's the destruction ?
-
Looks fun, but not nearly as "next Gen" as they spoke of. Looks like an upgraded BF4 honestly, which is fine, but not for $70.
ID: h1nv09vPay attention to explosions and particle affects. That’s where most next gen stuff is happening. Also scale, hard to get an idea of scale from this video
-
Man I thought graphically that looked awful.
-
Seriously why can't we have 64 v 64 with real time weather effects @4k 120hz with ray tracing. EA plebs
-
I don’t think it’s graphically awful. But I get where you’re coming from, for me it’s a combination between the HUD and the overall art-style which seems to be heavily saturated and weird looking with the extreme weather effects.
Overall I would say that I don’t especially like the way the game looks, but I don’t think it’s related to graphic fidelity.
-
It’s an alpha?
-
I don’t think they look bad, but graphics barely change between alphas and final version in multiplayer games.
-
And I think you're blind.
-
Or just have higher standards. But it does have 128 players so understandably compromise had to be made.
-
Alpha gameplay typically does.
-
It’s clear that there are some compromises made to achieve their scale, but it still looks pretty good IMO. The particle effects are actually insane and some of the best I’ve ever seen in a game. Hard to tell for sure but some parts of the trailer made it look like they’re physically interactive which would be amazing
-
Same old
-
Have they mentioned anything about bringing Commander mode back or crossplay?
-
Commander mode imo was so trash in BF4, I wish they bring in platoons especially being 128 players
-
Commander mode can be amazing if done properly I hope they bring it back but I doubt it as they seem to be casualizing the series more and more.
I agree platoons would be a huge miss to skip on and for the LOVE OF GOD have team autobalance again we had this in ancient ass games there's no excuse.
-
Welp, it looks like EA will be voted in third consecutive year for worst American company, am I right fellow billion purchasers to this next game?
-
I won't be touching it and I've preordered the last 5 entries
-
Soo why not this one?
-
So hope there is a 120 fps option available for next gen consoles. Looks amazing cant wait!
-
What does anyone know about EA Play(?). It says you save 10% with it.
-
So how well will this run on PS5 compared to series x?
-
Graphically, looks meh. Sense of scale and action looks amazing though. Was hoping for a lot of destruction, not seeing much regarding that in this video.
-
This actually looks awesome, you son of a bitch I'm in

Battlefield V runs at like 720p on Xbox One most of the time
