I was way more excited about FF origins before I saw that trailer. Holy chaos.

Agree with most that the character design is weak and the dialogue lame, but gameplay could be good. I'll keep my expectations low until a demo

This looks low budget lol. The lines that the character says before doing a finishing move on an enemy is annoying already.

IMO, it didn't look very good. Got a discount DMC vibe from it. When I heard about the rumours I was imagining a retelling of FF1 in a Dark Souls type setting. Guess I should have kept my expectations in check. The character designs doesn't even seem to fit the setting, more real world for the MC than fantasy.
But I really wanna know what the MC's motivation is, it was kinda vague in the trailer.
I will admit, Garland was the only highlight in that trailer.

ID: h1nxhuaThis game has job classes, my guess is main character was the basic default warrior and the others are from more advanced jobs.
ID: h1o0kjmThe only hope is that there is more going on here. Why do the main characters look like spec op soldiers invading a medieval castle? I feels like someone based the design off a friend and everyone just rolled with it.

This is the most underwhelming Final Fantasy game reveal ever. Really outdated graphics, generic character designs, no real story, only chaos.
Did they expect people to like this, because they say "chaos" in the trailer like 40 times?

One of the worst character designs I've seen in a while. Is that really designed by Nomura? Let's hope Team Ninja brings some good gameplay to this.

Damn. When I heard the leaks about a Soulslike Final Fantasy game I was super hyped. But this looks kinda... shit.
Pretty cringe, visually mediocre at best (both technically and artistically) and not even the gameplay has sold me on this game.
I damn hope this was just a trash trailer and they have something much better to show us later on.

Not a fan of seeing the main character spout a different dumb line every time he shatters enemies like that. Seemed like it would get old very quickly, and questionable to show them all in a row like that in the trailer.
I hope this looks better when we see more, because I fucking love both Final Fantasy & Souls games, and this honestly bored me.

I think Chaos is the name of the hero and the trailer showed us only the villain's perspective for some reason.
