Thank God this was announced to be single-player only. My stomach dropped when I saw the words "Square Enix" and "Guardians of the Galaxy" together, because of that whole Avengers fiasco.

ID: h1oguwbYeah. They spent so much time building up the cinematic universe with these actors and then the game cheaps out with the voice acting talent. Not to disparage them but the change is too jarring. Marvel should have written in voice acting into their cotracts from the start lol

Issuing individual attack commands to your squad is sick. You can really strategize your attack, assuming each Guardian has a specialty & advantage vs certain enemies. Really looking forward to this, despite the bad rap Avengers has

There was some decent humour in there, definitely the most interesting games they shown today (that will be available on ps5… was it too hard to port ff1-6 pixel remastered to consoles???)

I was disappointed at first at only playing as Star-Lord, but I think that's ultimately for the best. Avengers had to map the same gameplay to every character, which made it very silly when each one was exactly the same level of strength.

I really want to like this sort of games but the gameplay always leaves a lot to be desired. It just feels clunky. I shall wait for reviews.

Not a fan of Drax and Gamora’s models. The tattoos on Drax look weird and I prefer long haired Gamora.
Other than that it look alright.

One negative consequence of all these live action superhero films is that now video games are leaning toward photorealistic depictions of comic book characters. I’d love a good Guardians of the Galaxy game, but how much cooler would it be if it had a stylized, comic book-inspired look?

I kind of love how ingame conversations have characters talking over each other a lot. Feels a lot more natural than the usual video game dialogue.

Oh, so this is a SP experience? I might have to give it a try then. This might be what I wanted from Avengers. Much more interested now.
