I have to admit the game doesn’t look great. As someone else mentioned, everything just looks like it’s reskinned from Nioh and doesn’t really fit in. The lighting is awkward and character design is kinda cringe
However, I find I can’t stop playing the demo. The gameplay is honestly really fun. To me it’s like an interesting mix of soulsborne and action like devil may cry or god of war. Definitely gonna keep my eye on this

When I first heard the rumours of the leak about the game I was excited and actually picked up the Nioh remastered collection for PS5. Nioh 2 is pretty fun! But then when I saw the trailer and like a lot of people I was pretty dismayed at the tone and dialogue.
Playing the demo the graphics have some issues.. it looks oddly blurry on my tv, but I can see that the game has some interesting aspects, the different jobs, the stealing of attacks from enemies etc. While I didn't play through the entire demo I think it's pretty interesting and I'm curious to see how it progresses.
Fun little tidbit I noticed. As anyone who is ancient enough to have played the original on NES, your characters had a 4 character name limit. The three revealed characters conform to this, Jack, Jed and Ash.

Despite it's flaws, I really enjoyed it.
I totally get people's skepticism, but I for one, is extremely excited of the final game.

The way the magic works and party member NPCs really reminds me of Dragon's Dogma, which is pretty cool. Also like Dragon's Dogma, it looks like a PS3 game, which is less cool.

I get that it’s 1080p, but why does everything look so blurry/aliased? I understand it’s a demo and not the final product, but I just want to understand why.
ID: h2g2a7aLow resolution with no AA. I'm sure the final game will have it. Seems like the demo is a very rough build of the game that is used mainly for combat feedback.
ID: h2gnxosThe general rule of demos is they're often a good few months behind what's actually in development, I believe. So probably the actual 'in-dev' state of things is fairly improved from even this demo, but we'll probably see come the next demo (assuming they do it like they did Nioh and Nioh 2 where they have successive demos that improve more and more).

Yeah if you watch the video it drops as low as 30fps during intense combat, which is kinda concerning given that it renders at 1080p.
