Honest question. I see trailer after trailer of games I don't know if I should care about. What should we expect for the rest of the year? Any AAA titles on the horizon (no pun intended)? I'm not talking about only PS5 exclusives but next-gen gaming for PS5 owners, upgrades like Witcher 3 included.

Sony will announce a surprise event soon and will show us. My guess a new IP or Factions. Similar to Returnal because we know the timeline of the big hitters. Horizon and God of war are both Cross gen. ND’s new IP will probably be ps5 exclusive. Spider-Man is most likely 2023 and knowing their limitations with the PS4 I doubt they would want to make a sequel on the Ps4. Plus with Ratchet they have proved them selves to utilise the Ps5 effectively while providing crazy fun gameplay.

ID: h2x3buvWell, that's not what's the next big thing for PS5 owners cause it could also count for PS4 owners too. Pretty sure OP is referring to actual next generation exclusive titles. Battlefield 2042 might be a big upcoming game, but fundamentally it's a PlayStation 4 title.

Just wait for the Sony event that should be announced soon, I reckon some games shown there will have actual 2021 release dates, perhaps:

I feel like there’s a big window of unused space from now up until 8/24 with Kena and Psychonauts 2. There could be a big surprise release in July that is still unannounced

Back 4 Blood will be my chill and chat game with my sister in October.
And then I’m diving in Battlefield hard at the end of this year.

Got a $60 Amazon gift card waiting for that Horizon release date.
I haven't been able to play Rift Apart cause I don't want to purchase it digitally and my interest in it isn't enough to justify a retail physical copy.
There are many things coming out in between that look very interesting, but are somewhat dependent on how engaging they actually end up being post-release.

Scarlet nexus tomorrow, kena spirits next month, NEO TWEWY as well that month. September will have tales of arise and lost judgment. Those are the only things I'm really paying attention to that are AAA or so high end indie it's hard to tell the difference.

Battlefield 2042, hopefully next gen get a 120fps mode. It will so awesome play 128 man @ 120fps. Finally console will be on PC's levels!

All I'm looking forward to is Lost Judgment and Far Cry 6. I also have to catch up on some Sony exclusives like Demons Souls, Returnal and Miles Morales. I'll wait for some discounts though, maybe.

Sony is good at surprising. The ghost dlc is out of nowhere imo.
