- Exploring PS5 - Backwards Compatibility
-
With availability starting to become more and more that’s the reasoning behind these videos. The hardcore gamers etc have or continue to try and obtain. However once PS5 becomes more available these remind the casual fan.

Is there anything new here? I'm just not sure what the point of this was lol. Aren't these all features that have been available for a while?
ID: h2wt8u9ID: h2wtgtmIt just seems like a weird time to release it. You cant even get a PS5 right now anyway and this seems like information they should have had available at launch.
Like right after the hype of e3 Sony drops a trailer showing how to play PS4 games on a PS5 lol?
ID: h2wt1v6Sony likes to release these videos for whatever reason
ID: h2wt57oLol it just seems strange, like something that would've come out when the PS5 launched.

Why are they boasting. The PS5's backwards compatibility is shit, bare bones at best.
ID: h2xf9h2People complain when there's no BC, they complain when there is BC. No winning.
ID: h2xfeloWouldn't hurt to have better BC
ID: h2xn7jjThey aren't "bragging", this video explains how it works and it is far from shit and bare bones
PlayStation 5 backwards compatibility tested - and it's fantastic
ID: h2xnyjxPositives:
Backwards compatible with PS4 games.
Some PlayStation exclusives have been able to get 60fps patches.
Negatives:
Not backwards Compatible with PS1, PS2 and PS3 games.
Many exclusives haven't received 60fps patches.
Backwards compatibility is held back by the PS4's SDK, which means developers can't add 120fps modes or take better advantage of the SSD to significantly reduce load times (unlike Xbox).
Speaking of Xbox, something similar to their FPS boost would be cool.

While refusing to add a 60fps patch for HZD, literally the most requested game for that by a long shot. There won’t be a remake or they would’ve already announced it by now. The silence on Sony’s part is beyond childish by now.
