ID: h3t5vjqYou will most likely enjoy it. While the game has been horrible and outdated in many departments, just the fast loading and performance alone makes it feel great. MyCareer at least is very enjoyable but I heard nothing but negative regarding the online modes lol
ID: h3tblgxI've played 2K offline for over ten years and this really feels like they've perfected the gameplay side of it. I really do love playing it. My biggest issue is that Hall of Fame mode is sososo easy because driving is nearly unstoppable with the pick and roll. There's some massive cheesing there.
I basically force myself to find different ways to beat the computer (I play the actual games in MyGM) so I throw up mid range shots, back down in the post with some footwork, try to spread the ball around a ton. I like that you can have the plays called out for you and run them like an actual offense which to me at least, feels like it takes some form of skill instead of pulling up from the logo and cheesing the dumb badges.
I've played with the sliders in favor of the computer and I still win most games by 25 though even if I'm trying to find new ways to beat them. A little underwhelming. Still enjoy it though as it's the only basketball game on the market.

ID: h3x16u3Same here. I only play offline modes. I would have stuck with 2k20 but I don't want to always have to switch controllers and $20 is not a bad price at all for the amount that I play.

I'm interested in Immortals Fenyx Rising since I loved breath of the wild. Is the gold edition worth it?

ID: h3tf6stI would say it is. I bought the standard edition for $40 and platinum'd it. By the time I was done I was definitely ready to move on to something else, but I also have a habit of zeroing in on a game and playing it to death.
Immortals checks every box of the basics of an open-world game while not doing anything new yet still having a different enough skin on it to keep you interested. It doesn't necessarily do anything different, but its fairly solid overall and I enjoyed it. It's definitely not Breath of the Wild but I'm looking forward to a sequel if they make one 🙂

ID: h3t2d5vI don't know if I'd say I liked Fenyx MORE than BOTW, but I really did love Fenyx. It felt a bit clunky at first but playing it on the PS5 @ 60FPS, its a beautiful game. Combat may be a tad easy, and some puzzles got annoying, but overall a great game.

ID: h3wrzftI actually do think the DLC is great and unique.....they are 3 individual segments that have basically nothing to do with the main game. You can jump into all 3 individually without playing the others or the main game. The first DLC is the worst because it is a glorified puzzle area. The 2nd is mind blowing and gorgeous, albeit its more Fenyx gameplay under the Chinese Mythology. New story, new character, new map. The 3rd is kinda wild because it literally changes the combat into a Diablo-esque dungeon crawler. It definitely spices up the gameplay in a unique way.
I paid the same for the gold edition and it is probably one of my best game purchases in the last 6 months.
ID: h3uqoy0I platinumed it, and did trophies for all the DLC. A lot has been said about the main game, which I felt was pretty good. A lot of snarky humor they is very oriented in Greek Myths. To get all the humor you may need to read a bit of cliffs notes on the overall myths. As for the dlc….
The first one (A New God), is just basically more of the vaults (like the shrines from breath of the wild). Basically a mix of platforming and puzzles with some story. Overall, ok.
Second, The eastern realms one is just the main game but set in Chinese myth. It’s just the main game and I checked out on the story. Overall, ok, unless the world of Chinese mythology is near and dear to your heart. I’ve got a friend who said it portrayed it quite well.
Third DLC tries to remake the game as more of a isometric diabloish style game. Greek myth characters missing from the first are here, and overall it’s decent as well. Poseidon I found quite amusing. A lot of customization, but I felt the game style was wrestling with the engine. Overall, again, OK. I think if you can get the whole bundle for about $40, that’s like 80 or so hours of gameplay if you want to 100% it.

ID: h3tbvcmI played it right after I played Ghost of Tsushima and I think that maybe coloured my experience with it, but I did not enjoy it at all. The map system sucks, the writing isn’t very good, and the UI is such a disaster coming from a game like GoT. I’m playing through Valhalla right now and somehow it has a less cluttered UI than Immortals.

I did not like Watch Dogs Legion
Enjoyed the first one, really like the second. Legion was very boring to me, I forced myself to finish because I was hoping it was going to get better. There's not much variety in the game. Fun at first but that wears off fast.

I read that with the season pass, you can play as either of them for the full campaign. This sounds great and might have been needed a few months back :/

Amazon had 2k21 next gen for 20 starting on prime day but it sold out and is now "in stock" 5th-12th. I bought a copy and it never shipped so I canceled and bit the bullet at Walmart for 30. Now it's on sale for 20 digital. Ah well.

I'd bet you can find Returnal for $50 or less second hand if you have a disc version ps5. It is my game of the year so far, but I'm sure quite a few people returned it or sold it off to a gaming shop if they weren't prepared for the difficulty/rougelike nature of it. Enjoy it, and definitely don't get discouraged if it takes you a while to get out of biome 1!

Because they pump one of these out every single year barely changing anything and they make far more money with the in game currency than they do with the actual game sales. They'd rather give it to you for free and hope you spend hundreds on game currency/cards.
