Instant replay with desktop recording is on. Or you're in a game. If you go and turn it off you might have to close Radeon in task manager for the mic logo to dissappear from the task bar
ID: h46mymfNo game is running and instant replay settings are all off.
Go to Settings -> Preferences and see if you also get the mic notification.
ID: h476l64I think the mic settings used to be in that panel so some old code is still getting triggered from it
ID: h47w3f0You can also just install the minimal driver setup. Then the extra stuff is gone.
ID: h494t4iThe Game of Life is always running
ID: h48zoytI got the same thing just on preferences page, the mic icon appears
ID: h48v01nThe one person with a helpful answer instead of trying to make some witty comment. Refreshing. Thank you sir

Just say the word "OpenGL" and suddenly it'll stop spying on you.
ID: h48q2r3No, you need to say CUDA, and THEN it will immediately stop listening to you...
ID: h495pqjWhispering TIE also gets the job done
-
I got this as well because some settings were turned on in my "Stream and Record" section. Go to settings > record & stream, and shut whatever you don't need. "Record Desktop" was enabled in mine and turning that off solved the issue.

they're recording your secrets and selling them to the Belgian government

The built in streaming software is using it.

Is ReLive enabled?

Not serious answer : the more you shout the more fps you get. Mic is needed to motivate your gpu.
ID: h48e9edIntroducing Radeon Mic Boost TM
Dynamically Increases FPS for a short while when the software hears you cursing over your favorite FPS game.
ID: h48fexsNo this is Rage mode TM
ID: h488dy3SHINZOOO SASAGEYOOOO!
ID: h48bybpThe GPU when you say Vulkan:
NOW I'M MOTIVATED!
ID: h484zwsThe electrical signals generated by the microphone are used to increase the voltage so the GPU can boost higher

So you can yell directly to them because hardware upgrade advice Is shit.

To listen for coil whine. Now stop asking questions.
-
we hv nothing to hide comrades
-
To adjust fan curve usin machine learning and ai, and also to give you relevant ads
-
So they can slow your computer down every time you mention Intel or Nvidia.
-
If you have instant replay instant gif or anything it will enable the mic for you
-
My goals are beyond your understanding
-
It might be the discord mod?
-
Its because if AMD hears you say "Nvidia" they can remotely brick your GPU.
-
Cuz it's your friend <3
-
It's active if you are on the record & stream tab, no matter what are your settings. If you switch to an other tab it will be gone.
I think it's either a dead code from earlier versions, or they're get some settings for the microphone, which Windows will detect as Microphone usage.
-
Does AMD have a equivalent of RTX Voice? If so then that could be it, something to help suppress background noise being picked up?
-
To collect data on the number of times you cuss when the drivers fail.
-
ReLive does that. It's perfectly safe.
-
Lisa is listening, making sure you don't end up searching for an Intel product. Would be a shame if an accident happened due to doing something so dangerous
