I doubt there will be a ps5 pro. The reason we had a ps4 pro is cause the base ps4 was significantly underpowered compared to industry standards. Not the case with ps5. We will get ps5 slim for sure tho

PlayStation exclusivity is well known already and that won’t change. The question is if it comes to PS4 as well (which seems likely) and people are not too happy about that

It wasn't a hint, Sony flat out said it is coming to PS4. The beta might be PS5 only.

Gran Turismo is the reason I've always bought Playstations, but I'm not that excited for GT7 , I'm betting it will be similar to GT Sport

It's named GT Sport not GT7 because it was always intended to be multiplayer focused. And they did amazing job there. Now we'll have proper GT7! And Trial Mountain! How can you not be excited?

I really hope they bring back the level of customization and career progression from the earlier games. I went from GT3 straight to GT Sport and was pretty disappointed with that area.
Still played it from start to finish and got the "end game credits", but it didn't feel like I beat it. Just felt like task after task.
The car handling on the other hand was great. The physics engine ran very well, in comparison to other sims like PC2.

I hope they do a GT game the equivalent of forza horizon. Im not really interested in the more hard sim end of the racing game spectrum

Could always just get Forza Horizon on PC or Xbox. I don't like the mainline Forza games, but Horizon games are awesome and the next one will be the reason I buy a Series S. Then next year we'll get a true GT instead of the GT sport style game.

I can’t see this ever happening. GT’s whole thing has always been sim racing, it’s their tagline ffs. There’s other options for casual racing if you like.

Forza motorsport was sim until horizon came out.
Now they alternate mainline Forza with Forza motorsport and horizon which is more casual.

GT is also linked with the FIA now, the GT named being tied with street racing and speeding around streets with pedestrians is probably not a thing the FIA would be keen on.

Will not be interested unless I can play 100% of the game in VR, it’s shit to me if I have to play on a tv while sitting in a sim-rig in 2021. The VR mode was good on GTSport but it was just that a mode only not fully supported

I would love to see your setup. I think my next project will be making a sim rig. Mostly for American Truck Sim, but also for some racing games

For consoles it’s pretty simple Playseat Evolution, Thrustmaster T500RS and Thrusmaster Ferrari F1 wheel

With GT7 being made for both PS4 and PS5 they should have more than enough grunt left on the PS5 to run VR, so I've got high hopes 🙂 Especially with PSVR2 seemingly planned for release next year as well.

Enjoyed playing GT sport in VR, but yeah it's really disappointing how little of the contents is available in VR.

About cross gen, I think this year, and the games that got delayed to next year, will be the last that Sony does cross gen.

i didn't play GT sport but something i liked about GT5 was the decent amount of normal road cars instead of racing cars. you think GT7 will have normal cars?

GT Sport is the only one I’ve played, and I love ripping it ‘round in my Honda Fit or Mazda Demio. Really hoping for more of that.

I always look forward to the next GT game until it comes out and then I never end up buying it. I've done this since the release of the PS3... the only GT game I actually own is the GT5 Prologue and that's because I think I got it for free.
I think it comes down to past experiences with The Crew and various NFS titles and the opinion that racing games are such eye-candy to look at but so infuriating to play.

No way it's a ps5 exclusive at this point. The cars always feel Arcady in gran turismo. Back in the PS1/2 days it's was the king though

If its a betatest i guess to test the ps5 features like rt etc performance wise etc? Who knows its still a rumour around a clearly wip part if their website that should not be online yet. The preparation for the playstation experience event are clearly underway

At first I read GTA and wondered why the 6th one hasn't released yet.

Dang I thought this was going to be a PS5 exclusive? One of the first "real" next gen titles. They gotta follow the money I suppose, especially with the small current install base, but it's really going to compromise a lot of areas of the game, and that's not even getting into the extra time spend doing QA and development to ensure compatibility.
The fact that this will need to run on a non-pro PS4 is going to hurt it pretty bad.
