- Rx 6600xt available in copious quantities at MSRP or near MSRP @overclockers.co.uk
-
That is very nice to see, but I think either pricing or availability will change dramatically shortly.
-
Cheapest one for sale here is 520 Euro. This may sound bad, but when you consider the 3060 Ti is going for at least 750 Euro it's a hell of a lot better.
edit: cheapest one is 460 Euro, made a mistake. So even better. Cheapest in-stock 3060 Ti is 760 Euro by comparison. Huge difference.
-
Did they even launch in the US besides Newegg's shuffle? Best Buy and BHPhoto did nothing but say Out of Stock since 5am my time

We've started getting decent availability of 3060ti's in the UK. I think that, combined with 2017 performance (e.g. 1080ti) and shitty MSRP, folks just aren't snapping these up in the UK.
Many probably have similarly performing cards from past generations, or otherwise believe that better cards will keep coming in at MSRP and don't want this crap.
It's potentially a good sign that there is finally some resistance to these price hikes. I mean, I bought a 1080ti like three years ago for £430... Paying £400 for 6600XT performance today and 3GB less VRAM versus the 1080ti just looks sad.
ID: h8k255gThese are meant to be the lower-mid range cards. And they want well over £300?
An RX 570 was around £120. That's lower mid range. And we've got nothing in that section. There's no low end, nor mid range. There's mid range performance, sure, but it's at high end prices.
ID: h8k3sybA RX570 wasn't £120 when it first came out I don't think?
ID: h8l9p86Judging by one of the other comments I've had to this, there are some people who will jump through every mental loop they can to justify to themselves why this is somehow not a terrible GPU at the price it's at...
ID: h8l9821Can't blame any pricing in chip shortage/COVID age.
ID: h8l0cok1080ti on paper lacks dx12 ultimate, RT, DLSS and consumes 2.5x the power...and will be out of warranty at this point.
People are buying 3070 with 8GB vram and no one is calling it sad...
ID: h8l2s466600XT doesn't support DLSS nor really RT in any usable manner, either, so not really sure what your point is... As a defense of the 6600XT of all cards...
And, yes, the 1080ti is several years old and will be out of warranty. That's kind of my point - if it's only tangible benefit over the £430 I spent on a 1080ti three years ago is that it has a warranty, then... Well, that says everything.
The 3070 obviously is quite a bit faster. Having said that, plenty of people have aired concerns about 8GB VRAM... Y'know, like several of the reviews at launch that picked up on the issue in games like DOOM Eternal...I think you're, well, missing the point completely.

So where are all the people who said that MSRP doesn't matter?
ID: h8js3onWell it's good that it's still available. It's actually still in MSRP for a decent time. Wow.
ID: h8jxb6jWe're all happy that it's the first card it actually does seem to matter with, because it means it's still much better priced vs the alternatives right now by being the only card you can find at MSRP.
EDIT: Case in point - all the 3060s in stock right now and all the 3060Tis in stock right now at OCUK and same story at ScanUK. £600+ for both at the minimum.
ID: h8kpn4rYea, getting a 6600XT for £330 like I managed is far better than the other options available at the moment.
ID: h8jwbm9it still doesn't. by the time the 3060/3060 ti is readily available for nvidia's msrp, the 6600 xt will not be retailing for 380. look at what happened to past amd products both gpu and cpu as proof.
ID: h8k0iz7In Germany all cards near or at MSRP disappeared. I expect in a few days the price to stabilize at 500eur+ since the cheapest 3060s with a half decent cooler are 570eu+.
ID: h8k3zyoThey'll drop below MRSP if Nvidias cars match them in price.
ID: h8kaa41Of course it doesn't really matter.
Had the MSRP been the correct $200 for this size card, there would be none left now, all bought by scalpers long before getting to store shelves, and they would be selling at 3x over MSRP.
The fact that AMD asked for an MSRP that corresponds to what the card is worth in this market is a good thing.
ID: h8kat8lYou honestly think that if the MSRP was like 250-300 there would still be as much availability?
ID: h8k0o4iYup. And the price is still way too high for this level of performance.
ID: h8l8myjWell it didn't matter for Canada (or US in general) or sure. Most of it are going for 1000CAD which is just stupid
-
Overclockers are scalpers dont buy from them, cheapest one is £375 gbp or $520 usd. prices is inclusive of taxes but still bandits.
The most expensive model is £480 or $665.57.
Scalpers!
ID: h8kbgbhIf it was a straight conversion it would be more like £329. 99 after tax , added that I don't think we have to pay the China tariff that the US does and... Well.. Wtf
ID: h8kpthnI got an Asus Dual OC for £330 which is £275 before tax and that is $380 USD. Can't really say selling st MSRP is scalper pricing tbh.
ID: h8ks5x2£275 = $381
$2 over MSRP, they're scalping obviously.
Edit: holy sh*t their prices for RTX cards is abysmal they're going full scalp mode there. £650 for Asus Dual OC 3060 Ti.

At time of writing (18:20 BST), Ebuyer have some in stock:
As do SCAN:
It's telling that they've been in stock for hours after release rather than seconds.
Personally though, I'm still happy with my 6800 (Non-XT) which I got for £550.
ID: h8k37wvThe fact that it's still in stock even a couple of hours after release means the MSRP is too high. Hopefully, it makes AIB's to lower prices.
-
Here in Finland a few stores sold one model (PC Hellhound) for sub-450 euros (which I would personally classify as "near MSRP", though their stock ran out in 30 or so minutes. Still a lot of stock, given past releases, but I wouldn't call it copious. Therefore I don't think the stocks at reasonable prices over there in the UK will last much longer.
-
7 hours after this post went up and still there is stock…
possibly because every review is calling it trash; even the scalpers don’t want it?
ID: h8l93rkI wouldn't call the card trash. Just overpriced imo. The fact that the card is still near MSRP makes it imo the best deal in pc gaming right now. Every other card even the RTX 3060 retail for couple of hundreds more.
-
They are still in stock but don't sell to the US. The only thing in stock at Best Buy is a 6700 xt for $899. Did they move April fools day?
-
Even at MSRP it's Overkill.
-
I was tempted for about 3 seconds but snapped myself out of it. I have survived this long, I can wait a bit longer. Hopefully AMD is taking notes this wasn't an instant sell out.
ID: h8kanltYeah, the note is "we priced the card better than the other guys".
-
Just missed my chance to get a rtx 3060 for £400 because I took too long to check out. Kicking myself right now. Cant decide if i should grab one of these instead, but I dont really want a 6600xt because i want dlss and proper ray tracing. Just hope we are turning a corner and will start to see more of these premium mid range cards in stock at somewhat reasonable prices
ID: h8kai5aThe 3060 is not proper ray tracing anyway.
ID: h8km21wWell nothing really is but its better than amds
ID: h8kfvfxSkip the 3060 too then
ID: h8k869jJust wait if you want DLSS and RT. These cards can't do DLSS (of course) and are awful at RT
ID: h8ka7g0Yh im waiting
ID: h8l7osrIf you want ray tracing don't get a 3060 either, it's too slow.
As someone with a 3080 I will also say that DLSS isn't that great. At 1440P and below image quality is noticeably degraded compared to native, and if used with ray tracing it introduces annoying noise in a lot of games. It's really best to get a card that can simply run at native resolution.
ID: h8l9ymlNot everyone can or wants to spend 3080 money on a graphics card. At the price point im willing to spend 3060 RT is better than 6600XT. When it comes to rasterization, hardware unboxed report the 6600xt is only on average 10% faster at 1080p. And thats in a pcie 4.0 system which I dont have, and to expect a drop of about 5% for a pcie 3 system because of the x8 limitation. So not only is it only 5% faster at 1080p, this decreases to basically 0% at 1440p. And it doesnt have dlss which is still useful to have as a backup even if its effectiveness is up for debate.
I know this is an AMD subreddit and I currently have both a ryzen cpu and polaris gpu, but honestly the rx6600xt is a terrible product and while the rtx 3060 is by no means amazing, its really not that bad. Of course spending loads more on a 3080 will get me better performance, that is always the case, but given my price point and my 1080p monitor its pretty irrelevant
-
Even at MSRP its a bad deal should have been 300$ and undercut the 3060
ID: h8km53mCan u buy a 3060 at MSRP since it's almost 6 months old ?
-
Won’t ship to U.S. sadly.
-
In Finland currently there is only one powercolor model that is sold at msrp and I can’t tell if any of those cards have been shipped. The rest are 500+€ and there seems to be plenty in stock. Which at least tells us that people are not rushing to buy stupidly expensive shit anymore.
-
We just got some RX 6600 XT in Poland for MSRP. Final price of 380$ including taxes etc. Everything getting sold out super fast because people were waiting for this level of performance for such relatively low price.
-
nobody should buy this. nobody, is hi grade Amd TROLL material
-
Not surprising. Not only is stock improving, but these cards are a big let down, especially for the price.

Right? I can't even find a single 6600 XT on Amazon. But I might be dumb.
