ID: habbvowThank you for this! So both consoles are identical
ID: habdgo5Ray tracing is only enabled during cutscenes and not during actual gameplay
EA does it again ❤️
ID: habjq1xPretty sure Forza 5 is doing the same thing
ID: habozreHoly shit, a PS5 game that’s native 4K instead of upscaled / chequerboard?
ID: hacdiofIn racing games like this, it's actually easy. Each race is its own self-contained level that loads separately and you load back into the menu after the race, it's not an open world.
Forza Motorsport 7, another racing sim, even ran at native 4K and 60fps on the Xbox One X in 2017.

I’m sorry I don’t have time to watch this, is the game utilizing haptic/triggers in any way?
ID: habe322Absolutely, you’re in for a treat. The triggers really guide you well when accelerating and breaking and you can feel the surface you’re driving on much better thanks to the feedback.
ID: habk4t0It actually hurts after an hour or two of gameplay. Getting too much kerb? You'll feel it, alright.

Ps5 supports 1440p now?
ID: haclbvhRender resolution is what DF cares about/points out. The game will still only output 1080p or 4K.

Thanks for the heads up. Now I know what platform to buy the game on.

I couldn’t tell the difference between 60 and 120 FPS :/
ID: hacev4zYT doesnt offer 120FPS support for videos. So it wont look any different also you need a display that can do 120hz.
ID: hacffm1I own the game and a LGCX. But still can’t tell the difference.

Does anyone even play these games? I've been playing video games for almost 20 years now and I've never heard of anyone say they're going to or want to play Formula 1 Racing. Seriously who buys these games?
ID: habtw4jGuessing you're a yank? F1 is very popular in Europe.
ID: habpluaIt's a niche genre to be sure but the fans are dedicated. They wouldn't keep making them if there wasn't a market for it.
ID: habqe9nMy friend people were playing F1 games way back during the ‘80s. The history of racing games is full of them.
Your question re today’s gamers, F1 has had a surge in popularity due to the ‘Drive to Survive’ Netflix show that is now in its third season. F1 games have always been popular, but perhaps less so in the USA since F1 is more oriented towards Europe, Japan and Latin America.
Today’s F1 games also now feature various legacy modes which enable you to race as champions of the ‘80s and ‘90s. That should speak for itself.
ID: habs65zYeah, absolutely. Especially popular outside of the US. I’ve been playing the series since 2011 or so and have put in hundreds of hours.
ID: habwtb3Not easy to root for America(Haas)
ID: hacqv16Your loss
ID: habx554F1 fans and racing game fans mostly i imagine, probably a pretty good amount of people...
ID: hace2hiIts niche for sure, but it's one of the best racing games avaliable. Plus f1 racing has grown quite a bit in popularity the last couple of years. The game is extremely rewarding. Definitely check it out, even if you only have the smallest interest in auto racing.
ID: hacyzwpIt’s only by far the biggest Motorsport on the planet… I wonder who buys it hmm
ID: hacz1qnYes outside of merica, F1 is quite popular. I could say the same thing about Madden NFL as I don't know anybody who buys it.
