Does "self-knitted chainmail" mean that it's not real chainmail and just some sort of fabric or is the process of making chainmail also called knitting in English?
ID: hcu93zkNo, that’s just what it’s called. Depends on the mail you’re making but most mail is a 4 in 1 or 4:1. Which means you put four rings on one central ring. The more rings to the center ring means less gaps in between the rings. There’s more to making mail than just that. However it’s all called “knitting” because the actions are similar.

If not the real deal, then a great faux mail for sure and I'm curious what material they used. I think maybe the fact OP said "Self knitted" kind of throws me off though.

I found your problem. You can't play dark souls with a mouse and keyboard. You need a controller sir.
