All of these are great options, I think other games like Metroid Dread and Psyconauts 2 also have a chance. However, I think that of these ones Village or Kena are more likely

ID: hg12zdgIts premise severely limits its audience. I don’t have anything against it, but I don’t have a gaming partner, so I’m locked out of the experience. This factor will stifle its potential, but I’m sure it’s successful in its niche.
ID: hg13gk0Played it with the wife and it’s ours for sure. Single player…either Ratchet and Clank or Kena. But to be fair I haven’t played Village yet.
ID: hg14oeaFor real, the game is VERY Good. One of the best co op experiences I had in the last decade.
That book was genuinely annoying that we skipped every scene, but the game itself is very creative.

Nothing against these games but damn looks like a weak year again
ID: hg15qnfSeriously. None of this resonates with me. I love gaming in concept but I'm starting to think my tastes just aren't really aligned with what developers are putting out these days. I find it really hard to get into most games and I can't even coherently describe what I like because I like games that are so different from eachother.

'07 alone saw BioShock 1, Witcher 1, Half Life 2, Team Fortress 2, Halo 3, AC 1, Uncharted 1, GoW 2, Portal and freaking Mass Effect 1 released in a single year.

Currently playing far cry 6 so I’m not sure if it’s GOTY contender yet, but so far I’m having hella fun with this game and it’s bringing back a lot of old far cry 3 memories which was my favorite. Kena was a damn good game too but for how short it is I don’t know if it should be game of the year

I hate that I’m saying this but deathloop is one of the most underwhelming titles I’ve played in ages and all the promotional reviews I’ve seen all refer to it as “game of the year contender” when it’s just not true
