I love video games that don't mind just being a video game. I've been playing resident evil 4 lately and it's so much fun. They never explain the merchant at all, Ashley never even acknowledges him, and he's one of my favorite parts of the game.

It's getting super annoying and becoming yet another thing that's making gaming not fun anymore. People be complaining about too many wacky weapons in a game like Destiny and they want more "grounded" weapons. MFer, it's a fucking Sci-Fi game, go play Battlefield if you want to feel like you're in the military.

Part of the problem with hoarding canned goods for some sort of apocalypse actually is exactly this. Refined sugar has some nasty withdrawal, and having cans of pork and beans (and other canned goods with refined sugar, like canned fruit in syrup) will degrade your energy levels and cognition when you go into withdrawal.

Its a different addiction so the perks wont stack, plus it gives you yeast to make bread. Yet another addicting substance.
