This is my first time playing re4 and i heard this is the hardest part of the game, so i prepared

This part was really tricky for me, especially since I remember my ammo running out on my 1st playthrough. But I disagree in terms of this part of the game being the hardest as I found parts after this to be much harder.

It's not the main entrance that's hard, it's a combination of the ammo you used on the jail monster, plus the button section, and then the sniping part where you gotta help Ashley with the cranks. But if you buy a rocket launcher and use it on the jail monster, you can save ammo.. as long as u know what you're doing the only real hard part in resi4 is the wrecking ball room

ID: hiwk7mtThe jail monster? You're talking about the blind guy? He should only take a few rounds of sniper rifle to the parasite on his back. He shouldn't be using up a lot of ammo. It'll depend on the difficulty obviously, but I thought he was only a few shots. That shouldn't put a dent in anyone's ammo.
ID: hiwtdovI just played through the blind jail claw guy part on professional mode and it was pretty easy compared to other sections. Just wait for him to get stuck and snipe him like you said.

This part is pretty easy when you play the VR version

I do exactly this. Then I run to the middle and chuck another grenade to kill the four guys coming through the doors.

Damn, this part.
I'm sniping the 2 archers up behind them immediately. Then greade into the middle (I only have one flame grenade left most of the time). The rest of this fight is mostly random improvisation. I used to struggle here a lot back in the GameCube era. Still taking a deep breath before entering this hall. If you're panicking here, you're pretty much done for. What I hate the most is when the pick up Ashley and you accidentally shoot her...

I have a feeling this part is going to be intense in VR. That boxed in feeling of getting attacked from all angles.. is going to be amplified like crazy being IN the world. I can’t wait!

Its definitely dependent on how well your doing at that part given the games hidden adaptive difficulty that can make this part increasingly harder if you've been plowing through it with relative ease.
ID: hix0c4zThis is my first playthrough, i had to get used to the controlls... i love how bad they are and the game is designed around it. The lake part almost made me give it all up, but this game's worth it, it's a classic i haven't played, i loved dead space, it reminds me a lot of it, and now i love re4 too
ID: hix1j5xYeah dead space took a lot of inspiration from this game! This game in general felt wayyyy ahead of its time for ps2 given how long it is and just all the mechanics and variety.

I don’t remember this part being too difficult. I struggled with The Bella Sisters and having enough ammo for the bullet sponge that is Salazar.

For me now the hardest part is where you are trapped in a cabin with Luis, I cannot pass that part

It was a pain in the ass when I first played it on the Xbox One but when I played it again on my PS4 it was less challenging.

Honestly this game has a lot of annoyingly difficult segments.
