I like all of them. :> Out of all them, I guess Jake. Though Wesker having a kid sounds out of character but I liked playing as Jake.

Imo Jake is just hated way too much. His character development was pretty nice. In chapter 1 he doesn't call Sherry by her name, but after their scene in the cabin he does. Unfortunately most players won't catch stuff like this, and end up writing RE6 off as soulless when the opposite is true in fact.

Ethan is the only one who has been in more than one game. The others need some more screen time, but they seem to have given up with their stories already.

Sheva and Ethan. Sheva’s loyal and a great partner who stuck with Chris until the very end even if it meant risking her own life for something she herself had little personal stakes in, and Ethan was a badass everyman who pulled through so much shit just to get his wife and daughter back.
I hope Sheva comes back in RE9 alongside Jill.

Ethan is a straight Chad
Piers and Helena are underrated though, I really enjoyed them. Helena was interesting, and o thought she was rather cool since she was like an FBI agent and seemed more business like than the other characters. She reminded me of Clarice Starling or Scully. Piers was cool too, he was like a younger more optimistic Chris. Plus, he loves a good steak and potatoes.
Sheva was bland… and I personally couldn’t stand Jake. [Warning this is a bit of a rant] I know a lot of people liked him, but I found him endlessly grating. The whole bad boy persona he put on was so cringy, he wasn’t a real badass like Chris or Leon he was just a punk who thought he was hot shit. He made everything about himself too. Like Chris treats Jake and Sherry with nothing but respect, and all Jake does is throw a big fit and threaten Chris before saying “there are more important things at stake than you,” like a complete dick. Like… Jake your dad was a bio terrorist who wanted to kill the entire world, who also tortured not just Chris’s life partner, but also countless other innocent people. Chris was a war hero several times over who saved the entire planet… not just in 5 but also again in 6. I didn’t like Jake before but that scene cemented it for me - Jake insults and threatens Chris and Leon meanwhile Sherry does all the real work in their campaign. I hope they never bring him back.
ID: hn974aoI genuinely enjoy 6 but don't see what people really like about jake or his campaign for that matter. His conflict with chris was forced & actually makes less sense when you play his campaign. I did, however, like how his character juxtaposed chris and piers; their reaction to when he says stuff like "unless someone pays me to be" and "all you jarheads look the same" (which was pretty funny).
He plays an interesting role in the story, I just wish his dialogue was better.

If you asked me before Village, I’d probably say Jake, maybe Sheva. After playing Village, 100% Ethan.

Sheva has alwaya been my gurl. But I'm not gonna lie, ive really come to like Ethan. His dialogue is better than Leon and Chris combined, yet is still bad enough that he checks out as a bona-fide res evil character and in a way feels kinda like a combination of the two. They did a good job on Ethan.

Sheva and Jake for me, but i haven’t played Village yet so that might change. Piers was a good character to fit in to Chris’ arc, but I didn’t like him as a character on his own. I didn’t like Helena at all. She had little character, her main motivations were tied up with a villain I didn’t like much either. I didn’t understand why Leon went along and continued to trust her even when she was being obviously willfully vague about what was going on, and by the end of the game I didn’t feel very connected to her character at all.
I might be a little sour because I wish that it had been a Clai
campaign where they found themselves working together again. There would have been more weight with the crossovers with Sherry and Chris, and she would have fit better for the “final conclusion” of the RE1-6 saga. -
Ethan is the only one to appear more than once so that pretty much does it for me. He is the main character of his stories where as the rest don't really feel like "main" characters. In their respective games, yeah to a degree, but they still played 2nd fiddle to their partners, and in the scope of the franchise as a whole, they are mostly footnote characters. Personally I'd love for sheva and jake to come back but capcom doesn't seem interested in that.

Jake should make a comeback. He has special blood (something something related to Wesker, can't remember re6 very well), so he has legitimate reasons to be more involved on the story.

Jeez, I never really thought about it. But when I think about it now....they all sucked ultra hard. Not one of them had a really good character arc. I guess Ethan had the best one, but it was still very mediocre. You just made me realise how shitty the RE Characters are. Lol.
