ID: ho1tnnnThey deaged Chris and literally changed his face only to revert it for no reason with no explaination. They could make Jill work if they wanted to. Make her an aging badass like Sarah Conor in Terminator, old doesn't mean useless.
Chris is my favourite protagonist but I'm so bored of Chris/Leon/Claire it's about time Jill got a chance to shine again.
RE3 Remake doesn't count because it was a remake, I'm talking about something new.

I wonder if they’re gonna continue with the RE 7 and 8 characters or if they’re gonna go back to the more traditional RE characters. Regardless, would be nice if it wasn’t about Chris, maybe Leon or Clare.

If I had to pick, Parker luciani. Piers if they wouldve let him get more than one appearance (imo it wouldve been more fitting for chris' story to end in re6 and a younger protagonist take his mantle)...
But really? Let the "resident evil" games be somewhat selfcontained games that can get their own sequels or spinoffs rather than eternally being about chris or leon's "biohazard" faceoffs against umbrella(s). re7 was a pretty good silent hill style experience and had the most symbolic attempt at tie-in with the earlier lore.
