I haven’t played in years, but something that always kinda dragged me down is that the cities didn’t feel like cities. Initially in 2012 the game was amazing and I had no complaints, but now the cities are underwhelming.
Are there any mods to make the cities feel like cities?
ID: hoy7zh5I feel like this could have been justified if they didn't use such grandiose language in their descriptions of places. Maybe Skyrim just is a small place with villages and a couple castles. that's cool, it's fantasy and medieval nobody expects a metropolis. Except when you misrepresent a place....
ID: hoxjy74Oh there are so, so many. Open Cities places them in the over world so there's no loading screen to go in. This can be tricky and cause crashes if your mod load order isn't correct. BUT with a mod manager tool that's an easy thing to fix by the click if a button.

ID: hoxk193Tons. Even something as simple increasing the number of generic NPCs and adding more ambient "city" noises goes a long way.
ID: hoyfh71I'm with you, couldn't help but notice Whiterun has just like 10 houses. Felt like a real small town. I have since been really attentive to games that make pains to increase the size and scope of cities.

JKs Skyrim- the best cities and towns mods ever period. IMO, the way he extends the little villages and cities is unbelievable you can even install new interiors for nearly 80% of shops and… I dunno man it’s just a game changer! He does it all with original assets so it doesn’t eat your GPU alive
ID: hoylqflYou have to remember the cities in-game are smaller representations of their lore counterparts, a city with 10-12 buildings in them probably represents a city with 50 times as much, I don't think Bethesda likes to place buildings in games that don't have some purpose.

ID: hoyf3xnThere is a way to do it that early but you need to collect some ingredients first: Canis Root, Imp Stool, and Deathbell.
Paralyze and then burn with Flames. Repeat.

Fyi folks the player runs faster than the frost troll even at low athletic skill. If you want to see something lead it all the way to high hrothgar and the old dudes will absolutely demolish it for you.

So I’ve only ever played the original Skyrim on my ps3. I was thinking of getting it for ps4, is there anyway to use mods on a console? I’ve never used any before. Or are they strictly for PC

That troll aced me the first time I tried to make the climb. Pretty sure he tea-bagged me as well.

This troll probably killed more dragonborn than Alduin himself. Probably more than any other enemy in the entire game.

Bruh you can literally just fire any spells at him and go backwards, he won't be able to hit you. First time he jumpscared me and i died but i beat him 2nd time that way
