Wait a minute, this is not classical music

ID: hputd4h

The ink spots are from 1930, does that not count as modern classical music? (LOL)

Normally, a man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

In this case, it’s a store wanting to move their trash to everyone else house.

ID: hpth27t

It’s a 2 years old game on a old console that also has shifted to more free to play. It has been cheap for a while now. Also it’s pretty far from trash at this point, if the game comes out today at it’s current state I would say it’s a fine game worth 60 bucks. Not quite no man’s sky, but a decent multiplayer fallout game now.

ID: hpthkul

Is it possible to play it single player?

ID: hpum96a

No. Its literally worst bethesda game. Worst fallout. I played it for one year hoping it would get aome updates. Wastelanders hit and i was done. That game has 0 endgame. No pvp. You just shoot sponge mobs, you can spam nuca colas to outheal everything. The game is so bad man.. last boss dies in 3 seconds when i go SOLO.

ID: hpujj5b

Nice try, Todd!

ID: hptk4d1

So basically Bethesda DID do the practice of “release an unfinished game and patch it to completion”

ID: hpuk1re

I would ask you to consider your comment. According to you, the game now is a decent fallout game that took the better part of 2 years, multiple updates, and a lot of butthurt and controversy to reach this point. And as it has moved to f2p, there is always the danger of screwing the balance to push the player towards the store (where I expect their real profits are).

Not exactly a glowing recommendation now, is it? Especially when you consider you can grab much better Fallout games for as cheap. If the multiplayer is worth all the rest, it is a very subjective call, but for me, the above is too much to get a vanilla fallout experience in the end. Far from trash is not good enough in this case.

ID: hptpx6d

Also it’s pretty far from trash at this point

Hard disagree. Day one bugs remain unfixed, there is literally no endgame beyond buying cosmetics from the Atom store, Daily Ops are a fucking embarassment, the story was written by a particularly dull third grader, the itemization is a cruel joke consisting of a series of slightly different slot machines stacked on top of each other, and there are only two bullet spongy, mechanically uninteresting world bosses that don't even drop loot worth chasing.

5 : Anonymous2021/12/24 13:01 ID: hpsyc5b

I had fun with 76. Can't say couldn't have been better but I managed to spend quite some time in that game nonetheless.

ID: hpt7hcy

Same, I would have stuck with it a lot longer if it wasn’t such a pain to get ammo. Constantly having to pick up all the junk you can find, throwing down your CAMP, and then tinkering around for 10 minutes to get a couple morsels of different ammo was just too much for me.

ID: hptd91v

Yeah and you could hardly get caps to buy ammo either lol. I never had any caps or ammo until they let us set up our own vending machines.

ID: hpuq8pp

Yeah I never enjoyed the whole base building stuff. I just wanted to quest plot lines with good stories.

ID: hptgi4u

Was melee not a viable build for 76?

6 : Anonymous2021/12/24 17:57 ID: hptxiqz

Game rly rhat bad?

ID: hpunw7i

A lot of the hatred for the game is Bethesda's inexcusable & shitty behaviour surrounding its release.

The Fall of 76 | Internet Historian

ID: hpuvawo

A few years on, it's quite enjoyable and in a good place IMO, especially if you're playing with friends but not necessarily. It's basically what it should have been: Fallout 4 that you can play with friends.

The update that added NPCs drastically changed the game (duh), and there have been a few story DLCs/updates that give it a ton of flavour. It has my favourite game world of the Bethesda FO titles too.

But yeah the state of the game on release was just criminal, especially compared to what was promised.

About a month ago, I was out of other things to do, and thinking of finally getting around to maybe trying out Fallout 76.

I literally couldn't believe it when there was an entry price. I was sure I was being punked by the Bethesda website or something, but nope, it's still $40 on Steam.

Needless to say, I didn't get around to trying out Fallout 76.

8 : Anonymous2021/12/24 15:06 ID: hptbn80

It's a great game. Especially for 5 french eurobucks.

ID: hptbqix

"Eurobucks" made me smile, thank you anonymous

ID: hptby5u

You're welcome! 🙂

ID: hptddx3

What’s the exchange rate of eurobucks to Stanley Nickels?

ID: hptf1cr

Funny thing there, I named a number of my robot settlers in FO4 with metal based names like James Steel and Patty Platinum, one of them was Stanley Nickels. He was a guard bot.

ID: hptm057

It’s free to download and requires a 10/month subscription

ID: hpttvat

I think I paid top release dollar for it, when it was shit.

9 : Anonymous2021/12/24 18:11 ID: hptzb3s

Ooohhh j'ai trouvé un français 😀

ID: hptzmyk

Oue, salut mec

10 : Anonymous2021/12/24 19:25 ID: hpu8qop

That game is totally worth $5. I paid $20 and felt like I got my money’s worth. Fallout is my wife’s favorite game and I’ve never really been a fan, but it was awesome to be able to play in that space together.

But chasing the nuclear launch codes just wasn’t that fun, and they wanted you to pay real money for something like a refrigerator to keep loot from expiring. Don’t remember exactly how that worked though, this was a long time ago

11 : Anonymous2021/12/24 12:22 ID: hpsv193

Nice try Todd, would rather take a red-hot fire poker up the ass than play that garbage for 5 mins

12 : Anonymous2021/12/24 19:07 ID: hpu6iad

Really really got a ton of fun out of this game. It’s one of those games where you can just run around and enjoy killing stuff. When they started adding the whole seasons thing it gave me too much stress to continue playing though.

14 : Anonymous2021/12/24 23:21 ID: hpv1at1

Too bad the game is kinda shit

15 : Anonymous2021/12/24 23:24 ID: hpv1o2n

I definitely recommend it for $5.

Or if you want, you can keep listening to the people shitting on it that never picked it up.

16 : Anonymous2021/12/24 13:09 ID: hpsz2sw

It's a trick. Get an axe.

17 : Anonymous2021/12/24 13:43 ID: hpt2ey9

You can tell who's played it and who hasn't. They fixed the game but people don't care, just going off initial reports and other people's words. I enjoyed it before they added npcs and it's even better now. Actually play stuff yourself before you parrot other people's opinions. Definitely worth $5.

ID: hpt73ti

Actually play stuff yourself before you parrot other people's opinions.

"We don't plan on doing anything about it"

Much of it is no longer about the game itself, and the absolute shit show surrounding the launch, and the horrible way Bethesda treated their customers. That alone was enough for me to never have any interest, ever, in F76.

Finish your fucking game before you put it out & treat your customers appropriately. That's where much of the continued blowback comes from. It was ridiculous and f76 deserves every single bit of the continued ire.

ID: hpt8oaa

I saw internet historian video about this and couldn't believe how they treated their most loyal fans at launch. This and a game which nobody asked. Fallout 4 was so much fun.

ID: hptdx2d

I played it the first couple weeks after release. Why should I keep giving them infinite second chances - as far out as 3 years later - to finally make a game worth playing? If a studio insists on releasing a game before it’s ready, we should all collectively agree they need to tank so that future companies will stop releasing such shit just to refill the development warchest.

ID: hpt6tak

I played at launch. It really put the nail in the coffin for me with Bethesda. If games aren't finished by the time of launch, why should I take interest in them years later?

ID: hpt8akh

I pre-ordered well in advance of the release. Played the absolute crap out of the beta test. Total fan-boy of the series, nothing could have ruined it for me. Except on release day when the perfectly working beta turned into a full released game that would never launch on my PC. I tried everything to get it to run, even reinstalled Windows. Then they refused my refund.

Edit to add: I will never buy a Bethesda product again in my life.

ID: hpthrwz

to me, its more about not supporting the attitude of throwing a unfixed game out there, and get away with it, its the same with dont preorder, we do vote on stuff with our pockets

18 : Anonymous2021/12/24 15:57 ID: hpthval

fallout has become the game of thrones of videogames

ID: hpti0be

Idk about that but happy cake day!

19 : Anonymous2021/12/24 17:51 ID: hptwq5i

It's a trap.
