To date this is still I and my wife’s favorite RE game. We loved playing co-op together and have countless hours on this game, especially mercenaries mode. First game we ever platinumed on ps3 and ps4. I hope and pray the inevitable remake keeps the offline co-op and doesn’t fuck up the action that made it so fun. The only thing it lacked was creepier atmosphere which was strangely absent in such a great setting. I’ll say RE5 is my favorite while I feel Village was the most well done of the series. I’m just a sucker for more action than survival.
ID: hr2rmc7I really wanted more enemy variety. Africa has so many Apex predators that would make great and unique creatures/mutants. The wild dogs and Crocs were neat, but I really wanted more than that weird bat thing. Gimme some hyenas, elephants, rhinos, and lions oh my!
A RE5 remaster would have soooo much potential

ID: hr3lix9I think resident evil 5 already has a lot of horror elements. The monsters created by the uroboros are extremely scary if you think about them realistically. Of course, more horror elements would be welcome.
I like it when action games have horror elements but stick to the action genre. For example, I love the EPs from Death Stranding

Am I remembering RE5s mechanics wrong? I thought to combo melee you had to alternate between attacking with Chris and Sheva
ID: hr0pmkbFor most combos you have to alternate, but in certain scenarios, namely during the Wesker fights, you can do super long combos all on your own. I don’t remember exactly how you initiate the combo, but I’m pretty sure it’s either by stunning him with a single powerful shot like the Magnum, or by countering his long distance charge attack
ID: hr18q09IIRC your supposed to do it multiple times the first time you fight him to get the bad blood trophy which is also how you get the heart of Africa gem, the White Heart looking one.
