The project code name for Xbox One X development was Project Scorpio. There was even a limited Project Sporpio edition of the Xbox One X.

I remember them talking about the newest consoles were supposed to be modular kind of like PC's with swappable graphics cards and shit. Did that fall through? I don't play consoles but from as far as I know the knew consoles are not modular like that.

I may be off base about this I just remember hearing about it at one point and now it seems like they just never did it.

Was just a wild rumor.

The PS5 has a slot on the outside for a swappable M.2 SSD but the last I heard was that that feature still hasn't been enabled. But that's about it.

Project Scorpio right?

The barcode for the serial number you tried to hide is still there so that is still readable just so you're aware.

There’s usually a hidden master chief, never heard of a hidden scorpion

Scorpion Tank?

Development name was project Scorpio.

Thats funny because ive hearrd of the scorpion due to one x was called project scropio, but not the chief being in there

Yeah they hide all kinds of stuff, on the old original Xbox the word gates was written with capacitor labels, and they hid a bunch of credits in the dashboard.

Under the heat sync on my limited edition One S it says "Hello from Seattle", there's also a master chief on my newer one.

Fun fact, "Hello from Seattle" started with Zune and has appeared hidden on lots of MS hardware.

I really liked my Zune. Wish they had opened it up to not use that horrible software.

He'll sting you with his dreams of power and wealth.

Beware of Scorpio!

His twisted twin obsessions are his plot to rule the world

And his employees' health.

He'll welcome you into his lair

Like the nobleman welcomes his guest

With free dental care and a stock plan that helps you invest!

But beware of his generous pensions

Plus three weeks paid vacation each year

And on Fridays, the lunchroom serves hot dogs and burgers and beer!

He loves German beer!

How could anyone downvote this?! Ah well, I appreciated it. When you get home there’ll be an extra storey on your house!

You blacked out the number but left the bar code, so anyone with a smartphone can still see the numbers by scanning th barcode.

ID: hr50r4z

What can you do with that number?

It's cute to cover the human readable S/N of the board, but the barcode itself will give back the same information!

12 : Anonymous2022/01/03 21:15 ID: hr4haz6

Yep, that's because the original Development Name was Project Scorpio.
