Really wondering how remake gonna be.
ID: hs6tuncBetting it’ll have good core combat but less than a third of the content and it’ll be beatable in 3 hours even with no upgrades. Also betting they won’t include the exclusive upgrades. Basically RE8 in third person so it’ll be pretty good but nowhere near as great as it could or should be. I say that as someone who really enjoys 8 as well but 4 is on another level.

It wasnt released at not AAA money. In the UK I think it was £25. It was incredibly well paced and detailed and was also the flagship for the remakes (Considering RE1 remake is old now). I think 4 will have more investment and more time for development now they have they evidence that they can sell.

Without this game, I won’t be fan of the series. An amazing game does help to haha. Seriously though, I am shocked how old this game is while being still being so damn good. Not many games age gracefully.

Playing it in VR and it really changes the game. Being able to run around while shooting feels fluid.
ID: hs8uevxdual wielding plus you can shoot and move vs leon standing their shooting his weapon. You can shoot enemies in areas that were harder to manage. With the success we may see capcom porting to VR maybe the RE:remake or RE2:remake since those seem logical to port to VR.

yup. most people on this sub dont understand what a time it was. game had to compete with GTA san adreas and i think halo 2 and half life 2 but still held its ground... on the damn Gamecube!

I love almost every RE game, but this one takes the cake for me. I loved my GameCube and RE4 was my comfort game for years.

I remember playing it that first day! I made it to the lake monster before deciding to give it a break. That school day was extra long, though.

Now I know why I was too scared of the Regenerator and my brother had to kill it. I was 13, not 16 like I remembered.

Just did a recent replay, Wii version, expecting to think much less of it. I still find it to be great fun. Mendez is one of my favorite boss fights. I’ll never get over my love for the merchant, and for how goofy it all is.

Favorite game of all time and was the one that got me into the series; can’t believe it’s been around this long.

I remember trading in some PS2 games after it’s disc drive went bad again so I could pick up RE4 for the Gamecube just after release. It was totally different from the classic games but I loved it! I poured so many hours over summer break that year replaying it. I ended up getting the PS2 version later when GameCrazy had an extra metal cases copy that got lost later on, the Wii version(my favorite) and the Steam OC port! Even now I can pick it up and romp through it and have a blast!

As a re fan from ps1. I think re4 is good yes. But not peak re. So great anniversary to re4. A bloody good, actual good length re. But greatest of all time mmm. I accept downvotes. But i don’t care. Ps. U do think leon is the best guy ever. My son is named leon…
