- PLEASE MICROSOFT Let me relive those days
-
Ah man I've never played the second one but the first one was fucking brilliant.
ID: ht8mxpcID: ht8rnpspardon my ignorance but what does ip mean in this context?
ID: ht8uqiaStands for intellectual property I believe.
ID: ht8ruasI don't even understand what you mean bro
ID: ht8sftzpardon my ignorance but what does ip mean in this context?
Lol what context?
ID: ht8kx6cTotally. It's the game that I always go back to every year or so just to play god against blackwatch and the infected. Of course, the HD resolution + 60fps fix is essential to that.
It's really sad that Activision laid off SO many employees at Radical Entertainment that worked on the Protoype franchise. Imagine what can be achieved now with Microsoft's funding.
ID: ht8ls9tI haven't played it in fucking donkeys but I remember it being super fun. It was so fucking original at the time
-
yessss and both remastered
ID: ht8m0w5Yess. Considering both Prototype 1 and Prototype 2 released in the same console generation, the devs had to cut corners so the PS3 and XBox 360 could handle the graphics in the second game. Now that consoles and PCs have advanced so much since those days, I really want a Prototype Game in today's standards.

Why is this debated as to whether its a good or bad thing that Microsoft bought Activision/Blizzard? I think we at least have something to possibly look forward to, so many possibilities.
ID: ht8xbaiBecause it's seen as approaching a monopoly of sorts. A company slowly buying up a lot of their competitors is not always ideal. I think it's a good thing in the realm of the properties and games themselves, especially with how shit Blizzard has gotten as of late, but on a macro scale it might not be the healthiest outcome for the gaming market.

They're not doing it to benefit gamers, they're doing to benefit themselves by denying games to Sony.
-
I would legit love to see a Modern Prototype game.
With some love and polish it could be such a banger.
-
Just like banjo kazooie!
-
yeeeeaaah boi give me prototype 3!
Make the buildings properly destructible, red faction style you can legit flatten the entire city. Give us watchdogs level "living" civilians for the consuming + stealing their memories. More ways to do things in the world instead of just KILL KILL KILL. Like, the powers can play so well for stealth, I'd love a tree that you can choose between a super aggro/flash kill 'em all blades & whips while doing crazy acrobatics type style, a defensive/juggernaut "IM A FREAKING TANK GOD" style with the giant fist & such mutations that are good for smashing stuff/blocking hits, and new mutations for a stealth style like letting you shoot off a part of your body as a mic/bug, or latch one onto someone to take over their brain, deform your body to squeeze through vents, make puppet clones of someone you've consumed (for example, a lone soldier would be suspicious, but you can make 4 puppets that walk around you so it looks like you're a whole squad).
IDK I'm just spitballing but there are so damn many cool things to be done with this IP still and I hate that they let it die.
-
I hope so too, I also hope this leads to Sony making another Infamous to compete with Protoype so we can get two (hopefully) good games.
-
Imagine if they combined it with Spiderman, and you could choose the Spiderman side or the Alex Mercer side.
-
Still haven’t played prototype 2
-
Microsofts acquisition of Bethesda made them finally go back and fix the over a decade CTD and start up bug with Fallout 3, going off that alone I am confident enough that Microsoft at the very least are trying
-
That's a good picture of Jesus

The rare Green Street hooligans meme. Rarely used. Always appreciated

Gameplay wise 2 is a solid step up, very similar to the first game with enough positive improvements to justify being a sequel. The story is a bit of a downgrade but I'm playing the game to be a sentient super virus that can jump really high and cut shit in half with a giant blade arm, so that aspect didn't really bother me too much.
