I personally don’t think RE4 should have been a main title because it pretty much has nothing connecting it to the other games. I hope they change that in the remake. I’m sure this will get me crucified but it’s my unpopular opinion.

I liked the story of re6 and would like to see Jake return as a main protagonist

Besides the Beneviento house in RE8 it wasn't scary at all.
RE7 was interesting and definitely had a creepier atmosphere but the lack of variety in the game makes it a slog to get through at times.
RE5 is better than RE4.
RE2R is the best game in the franchise and shows tank control and fixed camera angles are not needed.
RE3R is a lot better than people give it credit for.

I hope RE9 is the send off for Chris, Claire, Jill and Leon. I don't want to see these characters fighting zombies in their 60s a few games from now.

The tyrant in Code Veronica was kinda sexy. Another one: Steve wasn’t that bad.

Chris was justified in not telling Ethan the plan. He had good reason to assume that he and Rose were infected and under Miranda's control

Outbreak is the OG mediocre, undercooked and poorly executed multiplayer Resident Evil title. RE5 and RE6 has the perfect formula for MP RE, co-op campaigns

Eveline is one of the best villains. Mostly because of how mysterious this story is and that you see a lot of her traces, before you even know about her existence.
Miranda wanst bad either, I honestly loved everything about her aside from the story, but its for me the problem of entire RE8 - I love a lot of things, but man, this story sucked.
RE3make is the best RE movie ever created, just not a good game.

RE3make is a great game despite it being short. Although I will say, I was able to pick it up for $20 and felt like I completely got my money's worth. If I bought it brand new at $60 I would feel miffed like many others.

Re4 was a mistake that ruined the series. Gone was the way of horror make room.for action adventure. No tension at all. Especially since enemies now had a health bar.
Re7 was kinda bland the MOLD seemed SUPER lazy to me. Like didn't even have to try. Oh lets have 3 versions of the same exact enemy. Then 3 (possibly 4 depending on choice) other enemies that were bosses. I mean also 3 kinds of bugs. But again 3 different type of the same enemy.

Chris is the least interesting protagonist in the entire franchise.
RE4 doesn’t hold up.
REmake and 0 modified tank controls work but classic tank is virtually unplayable and it’s the reason I’ve barely played CV.
Revelations and Revelations 2 are both better than 4, 5, or 6.
Basically every male lead that appears only once is lame except for Parker.

I wish they'd rebooted the franchise after doing RE3R. I think the plot of nearly every single game since 3 has been hot trash, and more than anything I want to return to survival horror...

Fixed camera angles and tank controls are the worst way to play the games, fist and third person are far superior

I think the majority of Resident Evil fans don't or won't accept that the whole premise of the game's franchise was to fight BOWS. It's not nor has it ever been about just zombies. The first game had a wide cast of amazing creatures and you simpletones just focus on that one. They whine and moan, especially on re4, remakes, etc..
To put it simple, get over it and be grateful we have a company (albeit a shitty one) making awesome gory games where we can live power fantasies blowing up monsters.

It's kinda true, RE4 feels more like a standalone entry instead of a sequel, there's a lot of reasons for that like the decline of the series. it's so irrelevant to the overarching plot that it gets barely mentioned by RE5. Capcom with the RE3 remake tried to connect RE4 more with the plot by giving Nemesis some Plaga thing, but they said that on a interview instead of the actual game
