Hopefully the countdown ends with something more exciting.

ID: hx1errrPop up on the page says next update is Feb 22, which is the day after the countdown, right? Timeline currently ends on RE0 (curiously CV is missing), so presumably the next update would include RE4. Maybe it's just hopium, but this feels a bit coordinated.

ID: hx2g8jpAm I the only one wondering where are the Village DLCs? They announced two Village DLCs last year and nothing since then. I thought maybe they were going to announce them in late January like the last pre-release Village trailer that blew up last year or on Valentine's Day for the memes if it was going to be Lady D focused but nothing. Are we to expect these DLCs to be as big as the original game then, with how long they've been working on them?
ID: hx5ejz6Village was in development for 4 years, these DLC were only put into development after Village’s release last May, so they’ll no doubt be typical dlc length.

How did so many people not notice it was the RE Portal account that announced this? That's like getting disappointed when the RE Movie account says they've got an announcement to make and it turns out not to be a brand new game or a remake of 4.

Why even tease something so... simple?
ID: hx0ypp6The main Résident Evil Twitter account didn't tease anything. It's the Résident Evil Portal account, and they only give updates about the site.
ID: hx206qhYeah. Like, I'm sure they're very proud of their work. And they should be, it's a very nice looking website. They did a good job.
But it's 2022, Wikipedia exists, nobody needs to go to Capcom's website to look up the premise for RE2 and the release dates of its various ports. This is not something they needed to build hype for.
That said, the Art Work section for RE2 has some pretty good stuff. They probably should have just said "Hey, check out our website tomorrow for some cool art."
