You have to buy the special vr version

I'm sorry dude. I know it sucks. I've probably bought this game like 5 times now

You can get it straight from the oculus quest store. I can say it’s absolutely worth it, you’ll love it

It's not the same version of the game in the slightest, and developed was funded by occulus.

It's not the same game.

I love Reddit, and the community are amazing buuuuuut... Since when did Reddit become the latest Google? I mean, surely it takes mere seconds to just Google this yourself?...

what am i supposed to google? "is resident evil 4 and resident evil 4 the same game?"

ID: hzd6po1

Apparently they rebuilt the game from the ground-up for VR. There's no way they're letting people piggyback off previous purchases.

The project was funded by oculus, has nothing to do with not letting people piggyback off another version of the game.

It was built from the ground up so it's basically a new game AND it was funded by Oculus which is why it's Quest exclusive and not on any other vr devices.

ahh alright

I can understand the confusion in that the game on oculus isn’t titled ‘Resident Evil 4 VR’. However the games are completely different, Resident Evil 4 first released on the gamecube and only recently was made into a vr game.

You have to buy the Quest 2 native version directly on the store within the headset. No PC.

If you haven’t already, I’d recommend playing the original first before making the leap to VR 🙂

11 : Anonymous2022/03/04 19:49 ID: hzcv4br

They are both RE4 but internally pretty different games you gotta buy the Quest version

12 : Anonymous2022/03/04 19:59 ID: hzcwn95

Yea it's exclusive to the quest 2 oculus store I believe

13 : Anonymous2022/03/04 20:40 ID: hzd33gf

The VR version is a quest exclusive, and it’s all remade in the Unreal engine.

14 : Anonymous2022/03/04 21:09 ID: hzd7k7s

Do you have to buy the game twice if you have bought it on quest to play it on steam ?

15 : Anonymous2022/03/04 21:38 ID: hzdc7r1

It’s very good I just recently beat it and it’s also getting Mercenaries sometime this year.

16 : Anonymous2022/03/04 22:38 ID: hzdlb0n

Lol, it's a port, dude.

Yes, the VR version is exclusive to the Quest, so you can’t use the Steam version for VR gameplay.
