Seriously, it's one of the best shows I've watched in the past decade. Not a single person has ever recommended I watch it, let alone talk about it.
It's on Netflix -- really worth a watch.
-
It's pretty well liked around these parts.

Because the history of personal computers and the internet isn’t interesting to everyone. Before you downvote me, I’m not saying they’re not interesting, but to a wider audience...not so much. I’d also assume the title didn’t help since not everyone is familiar with machine code.
ID: gq5xjwhI assumed that it was some Bob Marley thing from the title
ID: gq75lvrThis is precisely why my wife wouldn't watch with me. I've asked many times because I enjoy the show a lot but she cant get into it because "I dont know anything about computers"
ID: gq78pyxExcept computers and the internet is the back drop to the story.
ID: gq5yp5yThat’s why I didn’t watch it before in AMC years ago. I thought I wouldn’t be interested. Very much the opposite. Really well written.

Such a great show, Lee Pace deserves lead roles.

Incredible show. Loved every bit of watching it.
-
Started it when it came out and just thought it was okay. Then I saw it on Netflix a few months ago and decided to give it another shot.. ended up binging it all within a couple of weeks! It was so good and the last season actually made me cry. Joe went from my most hated character to my favorite character which is something I was not expecting!
-
Just finished the other day. So good!
-
Get hype for the showrunner adapting the comic Paper Girls!
-
yeah it's a really underrated show, although the slow start to the first season certainly didn't help its cause. It only gets better and better though
-
It's a good show, but I grew really tired of Cameron acting like a fucking child.
-
It is quite popular or reddit. Outside not so much, probably because of the name or the subject. Tech history is not everyone's cup of tea. Even kept putting it off for years .
-
That episode about Super Mario though. Something else.
-
I really enjoyed it far more than Mad Men.
-
Lee Pace gets no respect!
-
6 times in a year. I didn't know about it until early 2020. It might be my favorite series of all time at this point.
America Online? What kind of name is that? Sounds like a Neil Diamond song.
I am... blown away. I've never met.. a legitimate psychopath before.
😉

Did you search here? Cuz it gets mentioned everytime someone asks for something to watch.
ID: gq60lw6I scour all the recommended posts but must have missed it.
-
I stopped after the first few episodes cause it seemed really melodramatic. So many people yelling about something
ID: gq6rtt1Yeah. Loved the premise, the time period, the nostalgy. But I also had to stop halfway through, because So. Much. Drama.
-
It's pretty good. I went pretty long between seasons though and stopped watching in the middle of season 3. Loved season 1 when it was about PC's and facing off against IBM and Apple. But didn't like how it was basically just the Cameron Gets Mad show.
-
I want to watch it for such a long time now but it's not available on my country's netflix 🙁
-
In the UK the show was on Amazon Prime for years, kept meaning to watch it but never got around to it and then it vanished. No blu ray release so the only option to watch is to buy each season digitally which is... expensive. Wish I'd known its time was limited.
-
The show is fantastic and Scoot McNairy is an incredible actor
-
This show gave you the feeling of a time and place like no other I've experienced (mad men comes close). All the details were perfect. The characters were very complex and matured over the seasons while serving as avatars of real people.
-
I see it recommended here all the time...
-
No one has eyebrows like him. They should get their own credits.
-
It is so good.
I have never cried as hard over a TV show as I did for that one.
-
It was decent, not as hyperbolically amazing as you make it sound

It got a fair amount of critical attention while it was running, too, just not enough to really catch on as mainstream. It was one of those "best show nobody is watching" type recommendations.
