So I guess Yale must had received a large anonymous donation then.
ID: gq6kdggID: gq6zrarI can’t believe they allowed him to give a press conference right there, gave him the results to “clear” his name and supported him in that before even sharing findings with the investigators. The amount of support he has had is insane.

Woody: "Of course I wouldn't tape our calls. I'm technologically illiterate; I can barely handle punching in a phone number. I always forget not to hold the phone upside down. I'm also such an innocent guy that the thought never even occurred to me...Wait, hold on a sec; I've got another call."
...
Woody: "Hey dude, hell yeah, of course I'm taping her. I set up the wiretap myself."
Bonus: The male caller tells Woody, "God bless you" in response.
ID: gq6j8ypThe filmmakers were masterful in setting that up. They made a similar move in playing the call between Woody and Mia in which he accuses her of giving Newsweek an interview; then they immediately cut to the photo of Newsweek with Woody on the front advertising the interview he did with them. That was fantastically instrumental in showing what a perpetual liar he is.
ID: gq7a2z2You'll notice that is a ploy he often tries to use.
He did it with the police about being in the attic, too.
Him: I'm a famous claustrophobe! I can barely ride in a car! I hate small spaces! I would never ever go in there in a million years! Why, it's absurd you would even think it was possible!...
Them: We already know you were in there. We've documented your hair and fingerprints from inside the attic.
Him: Oh... well, okay. I might have gone in there a few times to give the kids sodas and stuff like that when they were playing in there.
Pretty sure it is a gambit common to narcissistic personality disorder? They think they can easily pull the wool over people's eyes because other people are dumb?

On that taped phone call where Mia asks if he’s taping...did he accidentally add the second caller to the call and not realize that Mia could still hear him? That’s crazy.
ID: gq693c0The whole exchange perfectly demonstrates how manipulative he is. “Me, taping a phone call? No, I’m the last person who could know how to do that!”
His response reminds me of earlier in the episode when a talk show host asks him about the abuse allegations and he’s very dismissive of the idea that he could be possibly “suddenly” become a pedophile at that point in his life.
ID: gq6v96bIt seemed to me like he had call waiting and he switched to the person who called while he was talking to Mia, then switched back.

Anyone who thinks Woody Allen is innocent after that episode is in a disturbing denial (for reasons I don't want to think about) or is being paid by Allen.
ID: gq6uo25A month ago these threads were brigaded by pro-woody allen accounts. It says something when even they gave up. Don't take my word for it, look up any highly upvoted threads about woody allen in the past 5 years.
ID: gq6jjq4Unfortunately, I see a lot of people defending him every time I look up discussions like these. So far this one seems to be finally realizing how much of a creep Woody Allen is/was.
It was a different time, unfortunately. Were these allegations to have come out now, Allen would be surely going to jail.
ID: gq78r4lSeriously. His defenders are completely psychotic if they continue to deny this.
-
I knew that Woody Allen was very wealthy and quite influential, but not to the degree where he could skew these investigations THAT much. The Yale investigation was so terribly botched ... awful to think what the rich and powerful can get away with.
ID: gq6lr4kI mean, haven’t you noticed his team of brigades all over these threads? They come prepared.

Oof. Let’s see how the Woody defenders try to explain away the damning audio recordings at the beginning of episode 3. Hearing Mia express her concerns about Dylan and her mental well-being, while Woody remains cold and emotionless, is really damning.

Thought it would go away after a few weeks ,but I'm still seeing 'Alien vs Farrow'
ID: gq5wbvcAVP sequel.
ID: gq6mucmNah. The main difference is the Xenomorph is much less creepy than Woody Allen.
ID: gq600ioHis behavior is other worldly.

It seems like IMDb is getting astroturfed. Seeing this latest episode about woodys legal and media power reinforces this in my mind. This dude is a monster.

I can’t sleep after watching that. God those videos of 7 yr old Dylan broke my heart. That guy is the scum of the earth.
-
Woody Allen is a piece of fucking garbage, that is all.
-
I need a shower after watching episode 3.

Textbook pedophile. Here’s a tip, always believe children. Statistically, they rarely lie about this shit.
-
Anyone who continues to make remarks about Mia Farrow has completely missed the point. Woody Allen is sick and should have went to jail years ago for committing these crimes against children. Disgusting.

As a general FYI: As child sexual abuse is not automatically an indicator that its perpetrator is a pedophile, offenders can be separated into two types: pedophilic and non-pedophilic (or preferential and situational). Estimates for the rate of pedophilia in detected child molesters generally range between 25% and 50%. A 2006 study found that 35% of its sample of child molesters were pedophilic. Pedophilia appears to be less common in incest offenders, especially fathers and step-fathers. According to a U.S. study on 2429 adult male sex offenders who were categorized as "pedophiles", only 7% identified themselves as exclusive; indicating that many or most child sexual abusers may fall into the non-exclusive category.
Source: Wikipedia (yes, Wikipedia is flawed, but you can see the cited studies there).
ETA: I really don't understand why this is being downvoted. It basically explains why Dylan could be the only child Allen molested, child molestation isn't always caused by an innate attraction to children.
ID: gq6qe11I actually do see why you commented this information because it may explain why he abused Dylan, but this guy is a pedophile either way. He has been confirmed to have had at least one relationship with a 16 year old, and probably Soon-Yi when she was under 18. That makes him a pedophile.
ID: gq6opzoThe problem isn't that Woody is being given the wrong label, the problem is his repeated inappropriate behavior towards underage girls, including those in his own family.
Woody spent Dylan's whole life, up to that point, grooming her. He wanted Mia to adopt her so he could have ready access to a little girl, then he agreed to adopt her himself so he could "own" her. It doesn't matter if it's labeled pedophilia or not, it was wrong, and he obviously intended on abusing this little girl who was his daughter. He was already attempting to have sexual contact with his stepdaughters and his stepson's girlfriend.

Does anyone believe Soon-Yi inspires a great passion? Given all women he's been with, so beautiful and accomplished. Here's Soon-Yi, the love of his life.
I can't believe that. Although I guess stranger things have happened.
ID: gq6ejp7So when a man is accused of assaulting a woman, do you look at her and say "but she's not even hot, why would he do that?"
Its about power. Nothing more.
ID: gq653kxWhy am I being downvoted for stating what so many people are thinking? And, have thought since the beginning of the whole thing.

Reminds me of all of the huge donations Epstein made, and all the ones that continued to be accepted even after he was convicted in Florida.
And that reminds me, I hope the documentary shows the pictures of Epstein, Allen & Soon Yi together.
