- Last year I made a small game for my finals, today I'm developing this project as a full-fledged indie game. [SCHiM]

You know the last game that blow my mind on a unique mechanic was the one where you took a picture and then thay part of the world was either added or removed....hopping between shadows!? That's friggan neat, I wanna play it.
ID: gqmj056ID: gqn6a1fThey are thinking of Viewfinder. You take photos with a camera and can paste what you took a photo of into the game world. It's another first-person puzzle game like Portal, Superliminal, Tag: Power of the paint, Qube, Antichamber, The Stanley Parable.
ID: gqmmdhcSuperliminal
ID: gqmtiz6Viewfinder is an upcoming one that uses this mechanic really well
ID: gqmv22kpretty sure it's this game called viewfinder
ID: gqn5xy9Don't know why you have downvotes. This person is clearly talking about Viewfinder and not Superliminal. "the one where you took a picture and then thay part of the world was either added or removed"

You might recognize the game from my previous post here, I'm happy to announce the game is now available to wishlist on Steam:
ID: gqmadfaI do remember you. Game needs some indicator of where you're located; I still can't tell whether anything actually happens in the elephant clip.
ID: gqmau13Yeah I've been meaning to make the player always visible through walls.
ID: gqnbc9oThere’s what looks like a “gleam” or a pair of eyes that moves up the trunk shadow, and then into the tusk shadow as the trunk swings by it.
The same effect can be seen in the other scenes as well, indicating where the shadow frog is.
ID: gqlsubkCame here to say I remember the first time seeing it!
ID: gqmgxs3The concept and colours are so cool! I'm buying it even if it'll get boring in a half an hour!
ID: gqmo6wpLooking forward to it, into chiaroscuro games
ID: gqmt4agSomebody remembers art class 😉

Looks fun. Is SCHiM the name?
ID: gqll5owYes that's the name!
ID: gqmuirzI was going to guess ShadowLeap or Dark Frogger... Looks really cool.
-
Love the art style
ID: gqlnwe8Thank you!
-
This is so fine. Which OS does it run on?
P.s. Why's the fps so low?
ID: gqlkrtfThanks! I'm running the game on Windows, the fps got very low because of the gif conversion.
ID: gqm8pp3It looks neat, and very creative. I hope to see it one day. Keep up the good work. Good luck.
-
There we go, the Polpo Stand game!!!
ID: gqmoe3o[Black Sabbath] game
-
I like the mechanic at the core of the gameplay loop, but have players reported an issue with losing there place? It looks like you're invisible in the shadows, which I feel like could disorient players.
ID: gqm3c4rThanks, no the playtesters didn't feel disoriented, I think this gif might not do it entirely justice.
-
It looks really fun and the look and feel is very cute.
ID: gqlv54iThank you very much! 😀
-
how you did this shading?
ID: gqm01smAll shading is done through my own custom shaders, which is essentially just cell shading. The shadows are also drawn with my own shaders.
ID: gqm0j4qbut this color system?!
-
What's it about. Would love to hear more.
ID: gqll9pgThanks!, The game is about jumping from shadow to shadow in an colorful animated world.
ID: gqlloa8Nice. I like the elephant haha.
This actually reminds me a game I played in real life something like land and ocean/sea.
Where there is one guy who stays in water (not literally) while the rest Try to get to other designated parts of land.
-
what is it coming out on
ID: gqlof7rThe game is releasing on Steam first, the game is already available for wishlisting
ID: gqm4lyxany chance it will come to switch someday down the line?
