Got my copy of Resi 7. I am going to start playing it soon. How scary is this RE game? Is it worth playing?

Imo it will go down in history as one of the best Resident Evil games ever! Yeah it doesn't follow the complete "core" of the series with the fixed camera angles and such, but it's a fresh take on the series.

Dude it’s in your hands, just play it.
I really enjoyed it. It’s against the grain for an RE game, but it definitely delivers a unique and rewarding experience with lots of interesting quirks.

Well.....I'm not sure if asking if a game is worth playing AFTER you buy it is the right move, but in this case yes, you will have fun and be scared.

This game is pretty far up there in my top games of all time. It is definitely scary. I had to take breaks in between playing it.

Yes very worth playing again and again...I was very unsure at first too especially because the first person view I don't really like that at all but I played it and loved it. It's a classic I'm gonna play again soon

My only hint is that you should be on the lookout. This game is a fun scavenger hunt of ammo and items. They are in the places you least expect and semi hidden well. Have fun with it.

First 45 min are some of the scariest video game moments ever and easily the scariest in the series. Definitely play through it.

I usually get frustated by not finding movies or games really terriorific for me (not only jumpscares) and with RE VII I just had to play 1 hour a day to avoid shitting myself, It is definitely worth it!!

Absolutely worth playing. I wouldn't necessarily say scary, but unsettling and tense at times.

on normal mode its a decent tense game. on madhouse mode i was physically tensed up expecting to die at any moment

Make sure you play this with good headphones or a good stereo system! The sound design for this game truly makes it.

U God dam right it's worth playing , is it scary ? Something being scary is subjective and due to past trauma , some people are scared of cockroaches some people eat cockroaches , anyways , most people will find it scary yes , i think it's decently scary and exciting , very fun game. 9/10

Every mainline RE game is worth playing, don’t even have to ask twice.

It can be tense but it's not really frightening. Definitely worth playing, it reminded me of RE1/REmake a lot
ID: gqo3ucmI always hear people compare RE7 to REmake and I always just took it as gospel until over the past week I beat REmake for the first time and except for the idea of being trapped in a house and the fact doors are locked they are so, so different. REmake is way less action oriented, way more puzzle focused, way larger and way more focused. RE7 is all over the place with an entirely different plot, entirely different flow of gameplay and entirely different pacing. The only elements that feel the same between REmake and RE7 are the locked doors and inventory management but after having played RE7 and then REmake, REmake blew me away by comparison and made me feel like so many of the puzzles in RE7 were extremely easy and watered down by comparison.
ID: gqo475vIt's been a while since I played 7 but I'll take your word for it. Maybe only the first few hours are like REmake, now that I think about it. I still prefer REmake tbh. In 7 I didn't like the cutscenes, videotapes, and I'm not looking forward to doing the boss fights again

Not really worth the time. It's the only VR game I've played on PSVR that bored me. That says a lot.
