The plot sounds like the regular RE stuff, which is GREAT considering the existence of the live action series that Netflix is also producing.
And 2006? So this is happening before Degeneration and after the first Revelations?
Also it's nice that they got the RE2 cast.

Roger Craig Smith as Chris had 4 appearances: 5, rev, 6 and Darkside Chronicles. Matt Mercer as Leon had 3: 6, damnation and vendetta.
But there were actors that had more like Keith Silverstein who's been voicing HUNK since Umbrella Chronicles until now.
But that's my guess.

ID: gqol8m2Yeah, they rarely speak of each other after CV. Chris mentions Claire in RE6 to Sherry, and in Rev 2 Claire mentions him a few times, she knows Piers, and she is updated by the BSAA about Chris being in China. So at least you get the sense that Chris and Claire do see each other between games lol.
It makes sense in a way, after CV they both go their separate ways and join different organizations, but it would be nice to see them meet on screen again. At this rate, it might be a CV remake be the closest they get

Cool they're using the same voice actors. Not cool they're changing Claire's face yet again. I really like her RE2R look. Not a big fan of her Tobey Maguire look.

I'm very surprised they made it take place after RE4/Degeneration instead of current time. I'm assuming it's because capcom is afraid to acknowledge RE6 and Vendetta. If they wanted to take us back in time, I wish they would have used Jill instead for obvious reasons.

ID: gqof9erInfinite Darkness is set 2 years after RE4 and 1 year after Revelations 1 & Degeneration. Both Infinite Darkness and Lost in Nightmare set in the same year. While Infinite Darkness is not yet confirm on when it set, Lost in Nightmare is set in Sept 2006.

I am so so tired of them backloading the timeline like this. It's all fucking nonsense, especially when it keeps being large scale shit. 'Oh hey, the FUCKING WHITE HOUSE was attacked in 2006. What's that? Why wasn't such a major event mentioned anywhere else in the series? Lmfao because we hadn't thought of it yet'
ID: gqnz85uIt's because they aged the characters too fast. Leon, Chris, Jill, Ada and many other RE characters are already at their 40s now by RE8. It would be kind of ridiculous if they'll still get involved in the fight against biowarfare into thei rlate 40s-50s.
Take Jill for instance. They aged her too fast. Jill was born in 1974, which means she is around 24 by the time Raccoon City blows up (1998). Her next adventure after that -- taking down Umbrella in UC happens in 2003 which means she is 29 at that time. Fast forward to Revelations which happens in 2005, and then RE5: Lost in Nightmares which happens in 2006. The main campaign of RE5 takes place in 2009, THREE WHOLE YEARS AFTER LOST IN NIGHTMARES. Jill is already 35.
Let's take it even further to RE7 which happens in 2017 where Jill is already 43 years old. If they want to make more games with Jill at her prime then they'd have to reposition her games in the past, somewhere around her 30s. There are so many big time gaps between the mainline games that age the characters too fast without even giving them enough stories to further their story arc. Rebecca is already 37 by the time of RE7 and we've only seen her star for three RE stories--two of which Rebecca is relegated to as side character.

ID: gqnwku5This is the show. It’s the CGI show being developed by Netflix. Netflix is also making a non canon live action RE series with Wesker’s kids as the main characters.
There’s also the live action RE movie coming out this September that’s based on RE1 and RE2

Degeneration is in 2005, one year after. Same as Revelations.
