Okay, I'm gonna ramble a bit.
If you're in to PC gaming and have not been to Quakecon, go. Go as soon as you can. Get a few close friends, enough liquor to kill a horse, some snacky bois, and bring your PC'S to the BYOC. I have personally attended with my closest friends since 2011 and every year we leave with more stories than I'm comfortable sharing. Stay in the hotel the con is at (Hilton Anatoly or the Gaylord Texan) so you don't have to drive and can just be fucked up for a few days. Also, lock your PC. Your friends WILL swap all your icons to Internet Explorer. Don't worry about theft though as their check in/out systems are pretty solid and I haven't heard of any issues in my 8 times going.
Also, there's nothing better than being surrounded by 15k people equally passionate about this hobby. You can walk in to any group/circle and just start talking to them. I've made dozens of life long friends this way. There's also a nice balance of genders too, women are welcome and respected! My group is 3 girls and 6 dudes typically and none of them have ever had any issues with creepers. The volunteers/staff are also great people who love this convention and put their time in for free to just keep it afloat.
It's my favorite time of year and as my friends and I grow older, start careers, move away, start families, it's our return to being 18/19 again and we just enjoy each other's company for a week.

ID: gr8o5cfEh, I would argue 3 was better. That being said I am biased towards not liking new Vegas as much because my first playthrough I didn't have an internet connection and the game is 100% broken and almost unplayable in its unpatched launch form.
I am currently playing it again right now and enjoying it much more than I remeber, but I still love 3 the most.
