Jokes aside, I love that they chase the player all over the area (in the demo) and are not "territorial" like the Molded. Even if you try to hide in the house, they will still follow through the doors.

ID: guzsk5zWhen I played I didn’t know they were supposed to chase you, I ran through that field like an idiot then before I went in that house to progress one of the lycans just popped out of the corn or whatever it was. Like he was pretty close and I shot him a solid 6 times before stopping because he was just standing there, I ended up just walking away and continued the demo because he backed into the corn again lol

I like how they use cover. Animals in nature actually try to blend in with the environment to throw you off, and the fact that theyre hiding in bushes like that is really smart.

After playing the demo I am definitely concerned about the AI. I had an enemy literally just stop attacking me mid-fight and it instead just stood around acting pissy rather than attempting to attack me or run away.
I legit just stopped firing and sat there for like 20-30 seconds watching the enemy stand and roar and act tough. Really kills the experience running into shit like that.

ID: guzm4jjIt's silly this comment is getting downvoted. Either way most likely just bad luck. I have NEVER played a game where the AI literally never did anything stupid. Even in RE2 I had a zombie just run at me and then right before getting to me ran in a circle.
ID: guzcjtuI think it was an early dev bug. The wolf guy nearest to the NPC's house kept despawning and reappearing, and the first few times I thought it was on purpose. I looked away from him briefly and he was suddenly gone; it was perfectly panic inducing. He reappeared when I continued sneaking closer and then continued to blink in and out, and I realized it was just a programming bug.
Your guy's short attention span was probably a similar coding bug.

ID: guzk6fqNo I didn't put down a mine. Was just standing in the open firing with my pistol.
ID: guznaraI agree, even during my playthrough (normal mode), they did not rush at me when I stood next to them, reloading my weapon. Hopefully in the release version they are more aggressive.
ID: guzrci3Even if they aren't more agressive (which I could see being a thing on normal and lower difficulties) as long as they don't just STAND there taunting it will be fine.
It was just like the AI shut down which was concerning.

TBH, I see nothing wrong here. It's like animals circling their prey -- they know that you can fight back and hurt them, so they're trying to suss out a safe angle for them to attack from.

It’s a pathing bug the Lycans can get but the demo was great, they bob and weave your shots and attacks. The atmosphere and character animations/face animations are absolutely incredible.
