I thought it got a bit more popular when Cyberpunk came out because it was one of the few ways you could play the PC version without an expensive gaming PC. Did I miss something?
ID: gv1vyxvID: gv1xrx5Ah, ok. Thanks for the explanation! I never tried Stadia but in theory at least it was an interesting idea.

If they couldn’t make it work with half the world locked indoors it’s not gonna work ever.
ID: gv1mefsRight? They were primed and ready but dropped the ball off of Mt. Everest.

Its a google product so its gonna die or get discounted by google sooner or later
ID: gv1m2hqSadly true.
ID: gv1s3hhThen resurrected and done better by a competitor who captures the market because they understand they need to commit year after year like it's the only thing they do. Also, they are usually a few years too early. But at least they aren't Microsoft of the 90s and 00s. They were always late to the party and pretended like they innovated.

Stadia can hang out with Ouya.
ID: gv1mpnoOuya at the very least had some use after its implosion. You could hack it and put ROMS on it. Stadia is just a controller shaped paperweight
ID: gv1nmjhBut to its credit, Stadia controllers are genuinely some of the best built controllers I've ever held. Google knocked it out of the park with those controllers. Solid, comfortable, durable.

Oh boy stadia nerds are going to downvote this LOL

Seems a lot of people don’t realize that Stadia a) works quite well, b) has two million users, and c) is uniquely poised to succeed in this industry (best network in the game).
I suspect the reports of Stadia’s demise to be greatly exaggerated.
ID: gv1xjhlYeah it has all that stuff going for it.
It just doesn't have any games.
ID: gv1ywekLmao, okay.

Kinda crazy re8 is going to stadia as well

Don't forget Going Outside, Samsung SmartFridge, and Macs lol

Its a good idea in theory. The only issue is that people already game at 60 hz...yah probably not in 4k but how many people actually care about that most pro are still gaming in 1080p because they can cap out the frames to 240+ fps and with the 3090 out now you can game at 1440p (2k) at close to 240hz depending on what you play. If they were going to promote something and it was at least 4k at 120 fps with no frame drop. If they can promise that saying you will never need a gaming console again...that's a different story. With games becoming more competitive people want the upper hand you won't have that at 60 fps...that's if those frames don't drop.

It was great proof of concept Nvidia took the idea and made it work...so while their execution failed their idea is working

They shut down all their first party studios, so no first party games.
Basically Google has given up on it and are ready to move on
