Of course, there's still the live action ATLA and Cowboy Bebop to come out. I'm a little more apprehensive about those.

ID: gvyygj0Cyberpunk 2077. It's set in the same universe, but it's a different story with it's own characters and all that jazz. Of course, it being made by TRIGGER means that it's going to end up in space, but that's to be expected.

ID: gvz51bpI mean when you throw the Dota series up against the Warcraft movie I'd say the Dota universe blows it the fuck out of the water even with the minimal expansion of it on Netflix. Plus come on, they did such a good job with the Invoker lore.
Besides, we all know that almost every single arc of Warcraft lore starts with "x starts acting strange" then "x betrays their allies which absolutely no one saw coming for some reason because mind control/secretly a dick/etc" followed by "heroes kill x and feel sad about the necessity for a short bit" and repeat. It's not exactly deep story telling. There's only so many season of that you can do before people stop watching.
I'll one hundred percent get behind a retelling of the 1st war though. I'd love to see the Alliance trying to fight back the invading horde and see how they'd represent Lothar, even if I'm still annoyed they retconned his actual death.

All awesome but I have damn near zero interest in The Last of Us as a live action show. There's zero chance they can do the first game justice and I still refuse to accept the second abomination got made.

Great godlike race creates lots of stuff, including the world you play in. One of them somehow becomes corrupt/disillusioned in that creation and seeks to destroy it. This "fallen one" fights with the others and kills/imprisons them. The valiant heroes of this world now have to fight this "fallen one" themselves. Add a heaping helping of retconning and "Ha, that wasn't really a bad guy after all"!Did I just describe Warcraft or Starcraft? If you answered "yes", you get a cookie. Come on, Blizz...

Blizzard had their chance, chose the worst, most boring, most uninspired part of the story with the least compelling characters possible. "Let's make a Warcraft movie - but no Thrall, Sylvanas, Illidan, Arthas, Garrosh, Varian, no real involvement of the Burning Legion, no Deathwing, Nefarian, Onyxia.
They had one shot to start something, and they clowned themselves hard.
