huh I must have missed that factory secret treasure room.

ID: gxn056h

Same. I haven't finished the factory yet though so I guess I need to go looking.

ID: gxn3j0d

It has magnum ammo so it is worth a visit

ID: gxn2hrd

Doesn’t have much in it, the important ones are the one you push the cart out of the way to get the ball mold and the one with the hammer parts

ID: gxnlli3

I will never say no to more money.

ID: gxnp4hx

I got it but yeah, you don't just think to shoot the soldat.

ID: gxns66z

Where is it in the factory because I just got through the first floor

ID: gxnucys

Weird, I didn't realize to shoot the sleeping one and I still got it. I recognized the walls/gates were destructible, so I lured the one from upstairs into attacking near the fences, and he broke them and got me in lol.

Please note that this is still a work in progress and is subject to change based on feedback from the community. Check the link for the latest version:

If it helps, I volunteer to help notate and add permanently missable items/notes/goats with as little spoilers as possible.

That stupid Vineyard goat ruined my almost perfect first run...

Many thanks!

I have a sheet like this for RE2, RE3, and RE8 now. Is there one for RE7 or is there even any puzzles in that game? I can't really remember.

ID: gxmtpcq

I think just the stupid shadow ones. Cheat sheets aren’t helping with those

ID: gxn2112

That's what I was thinking, only puzzles I really remember where the birthday cake puzzle and maybe a code to a door in the sons area.

6 : Anonymous2021/05/10 18:14 ID: gxmwkxd

Can you make one for REmake 2 and REmak3? A cheat sheet like this would do wonders for my S/S+ runs.

7 : Anonymous2021/05/10 19:15 ID: gxn587m

The piano "puzzle" had me lol-ing for a bit, I can't believe my real-life skills actually got used instead of leaving Rebecca for a few rooms to figure out Moonlight Sonata haha

ID: gxn9djk

Yea fr i was sitting there like, ok, 6/8 time, C G B A A D C D E E and then i presses the first note and was disappointed

8 : Anonymous2021/05/10 20:13 ID: gxndjuk

I don’t know if the downstairs Angie locations are random, in my experience the 2nd is always the bigger openish room and the 3rd is in the hallway loop

9 : Anonymous2021/05/10 15:30 ID: gxm96bg

It’s kind of disappointing you can fit all of this onto 1 piece of paper, I wish the puzzles were a little more deep and the game longer in general. Still loved it though and good job on putting it all together for speed runs.

Only thing I can think to add is rare animal locations or the labyrinth ball locations

ID: gxmn2ap

Still more puzzles than most RE games.

ID: gxmzdy0

Absolutely true, see OP's cheat sheet for RE3R.

ID: gxmnmff

I thought the Mia puppet puzzle was pretty cool.

ID: gxng1r8

That whole sequence felt very much like an escape room. It wasn't complex at all, but I really enjoyed it

ID: gxmqifn

It's not really a puzzle though, just kind of "press f on these things to know what to enter".

ID: gxmrqix

The only "puzzle" that took more than 20 seconds for me was finding the 5 bells. Game was pretty straight-forward

ID: gxo0zqv

Doesn't it say bells in this room, then has one a half mile away out a window? Dick move lol

ID: gxn7qd5

RE2 remake was pretty much the same thing. In fact there's more on this sheet.

ID: gxn5v12

And most of those aren't really necessary to even have a cheat sheet for. Like the torch puzzles? I mean c'mon, that's something you just look at and go "ok, that's what I need to do." And piano puzzle is probably faster to just press a key and see how far off you are rather than counting keys (messing up an input doesn't reset it so it's barely puzzle). Really just the lock combinations are ones that'd be useful to have handy if doing a speedrun.

Maybe add numbered male points for masks sorrow and rage etc

11 : Anonymous2021/05/10 19:34 ID: gxn7z6z

On the riverbank treasure, I kept killing the enemies that kept crawling out of that little hole over and over. And I was like god damn, how many are gonna come?! And I got pissed off and shot the chandelier fire thing out of rage and it hit him and caught him on fire and I was like holy shit, I didn’t know you could do that. Then it all hit me. Light him on fire, bait him to the other one. Lol I felt stupid. I must’ve killed like 8 of them before I figured it out.

So maybe I'm just terrible at games, but how do you open the chest in the ruins after you beat Lady D past the Umbrella stone area?

It's tucked away in a doorway with a wall mural above it surrounded by flowers. I never opened it and can't find anywhere online about how to open it.

ID: gxnwh51

luiza's key, which i think you get from inspecting the treasure from the chest outside luiza's burnt place (only appears after the castle i think)

you're not just terrible at games, i wouldn't have noticed this myself unless i spotted the treasure show up in the "key items" tab and even then, i don't think there's actually anything directly pointing to this being the correct key for the chest

ID: gxnwtax

Oh my god. I picked up that damn treasure and I guess I just assumed I sold it and never noticed it in my key items section. Thank you so much!

While useful, I feel pain for those who actually need to look up puzzles in this game. The answers were literally right there. The only one that was "hard" was the bath room. I think goat locations and such would be much more useful IMO.

ID: gxnb3t7

Yeah the piano's not really a puzzle, you literally just play the notes on the sheet lol and if you're unfamiliar with sheet music it tells you the note you're playing

Not like that absolutely ridiculous piano puzzle in SH1

ID: gxnjjdk

Yeah you just hit the notes until the orange circle matches the note. I actually forgot about that puzzle lol.

ID: gxnshwu

Sh1 piano puzzle was the dumbest bullshit ever

14 : Anonymous2021/05/10 19:48 ID: gxn9yr7

Damn the Angie locations aren’t random?

That’s even a bigger of a cop out as a boss “fight”

ID: gxnbjvp

To be fair, outside of a speed run or multiple play throughs, you’d probably never realize it wasn’t random, and also makes it a little easier for speed running

ID: gxnymki

The second and third locations are random. I've been tripped up by her hiding behind a bookcase or near the elevator while trying to get the 1:40 challenge

15 : Anonymous2021/05/10 15:37 ID: gxma6t9

This is great, thank you!

16 : Anonymous2021/05/10 17:14 ID: gxmo12e

Hey just wanted to let you know how cool you are!

17 : Anonymous2021/05/10 17:47 ID: gxmsp5m

Is there something like this for Resident Evil 7? I like to do all of the puzzles myself if I can, but at the same time I don’t have forever to play these days and sometimes just like to move through the game if I get stuck.

18 : Anonymous2021/05/10 18:45 ID: gxn11p9

Good work, man. Some cheats will be handy until I can memorise them on my own during speedruns. Thanks.

19 : Anonymous2021/05/10 19:28 ID: gxn76ww

ty for putting this. Will def help in a speedrun

20 : Anonymous2021/05/10 19:31 ID: gxn7ilg

Just out of curiosity, everything here is the same for Hardcore and the other difficulty setting? Because I thought some puzzles in RE2 were different between Normal and Hardcore.

Otherwise thank you for this! Like RE2, going to save this image.

21 : Anonymous2021/05/10 23:40 ID: gxo4cwc

is this village of shadows mode too?

22 : Anonymous2021/05/10 23:49 ID: gxo5g3c

Gonna save this post for, y'know, no particular reason at all...
