Going for the 3 hour run, just did start of game to escaping the castle in about 15 minutes. I think I hit Lady D like 4 times and she died. That’s it.. that’s the whole post.

Its all fast and fun, until you reach Donnas House. Hate that Shit.

It goes by so fast on casual you'll likely end up spending more time skipping or watching unskippable cutscenes rather than play the actual game.
Although it's funny how Moreau's death cutscene triggers almost immediately the moment you start to spam a fully upgraded infinite S.T.A.K.E. Makes him look even more pathetic than he already is. Lmao.

I'm currently doing village of shadows with the infinite S.T.A.K.E., propeller boy is kicking my ass. Going to try the speed run next.
ID: h1aau7oTips: when he starts charging you, do a 90-degree turn and run straight forward. He doesn't track you, so he'll blow right past and you should have a good look at his weak spot.

ID: h1bx1nmI found flashbangs with the grenade launcher worked a treat on the tougher fights in VoS. I did die a few times to Heisenberg and chopper boy but found the Chris section almost obnoxiously difficult. I managed it eventually. Keep at it, it's a great feeling when you finally crack it.

I did the 3 hour run with an infinite ammo WCX and it went by so quick. I was so close to finishing it in 2:00. I managed to be it in 2:02.

ID: h1aj1c1Yeah… fasted I can do Beneviento is 15:40, from the time you enter the house till the time you leave. I also can’t beat Angie any faster than 1:40, even on casual with NG+ speed buff.
ID: h1aprmwDon't kill anything unless it's blocking your way or obviously it's a boss or something. Just run from objective to objective and if you're not sure, pause the game and think about it. The in game timer doesn't run on pause.
If you have the routing down, you should be done with House Beneviento by 45 minutes or so. If you're using Infinite STAKE there is no reason to stop for anything. You don't need ammo and you don't need treasure or heals.
ID: h1arhhtDon't loot and know where to go. It's fairly easy if you got a good infinite weapon (my Village of Shadows time was 02:15′15″271 according to residentevil.net).
Sounds like you were wasting time collecting items/treasures or something which you don't want to do on the speedrun. Forget the money just go go go.
As far as non-obvious tips go, infinite grenade launcher with flashbangs can make some areas go by faster than trying to kill enemies in your way (like the run through the stronghold to get 4th flask).

Beats it in well under 3 hours with the above.
ID: h1acpzsYeah I beat it in just under 3 hours on my 2nd or 3rd run through the game I think. I remember not really trying to "speed run" it per se, but I was doing it relatively fast just for the sake of getting through it as I was trying to complete some challenges to get enough points to buy some bonus weapons. I got half way through the factory and it dawned on me that I might be able to get the 3 hour challenge if I haul ass the rest of the way and I finished at around 2 hours and 50 something minutes. All this to say, it's surprisingly easier than you would think to complete the game in under 3 hours on normal or casual.
ID: h1agqgqThis speedrun challenge was way easier than the one for re2 remake. I just played the game normally while skipping cutscenes and I had 40 minutes to spare. Only thing I had to be careful about was resisting the urge to loot everything in the village.
