- Just finished RE5 a few days ago, and just added RE: Revelations 1 & 2 to the collection. Should i start revaluation or just go straight to RE6?
-
Doesn't matter much. Revelations is a prequel that has minor ties to RE5. Revelations 2 only has minor hints at RE6 that you'd miss if you weren't looking. Like 1 news paper and one sentence at the end kinda subtle.
That said. Both are more like RE5 than RE6 was.

Revelations 2 Raid mode is worth a try.

Go revelations. RE6 might hurt your feelings like it did mine so many years ago. I still have PTSD.
ID: h2xbj4dI'll be honest I think I'm the only one who doesn't hate RE6. It's the worst RE game imo but it doesn't feel bad as a game to me
ID: h2xd73lThe feeling i was playing a game made up of 3 DLCs was the worst part. If they picked 1 of the shorter campaigns and made a full campaign out of it wouldve been much better IMO.
That and make it feel more RE.
When you experience a game like RE4 and have hopes for REs future in third person and its just plummets with the next 2 installments that can really hurt. Especially knowing shinji mikami was pushed out after 4 and it kept declining without him. He went and made 2 great games after. Congrats to him.
Im glad they pulled it together and 7 8 the remakes were quite good.
ID: h2xr2w7I make jokes about how terrible it is a lot but I don’t find it super unenjoyable to play, the story is quite bad but I don’t usually play for the story anyways. The combat system is great but a little clunky on console (I play on ps3)

ID: h2wyp8ySorry... Its too painful to talk about. Im really struggling over here. Lol

Revelations is set before 5, then we have revelations 2 and 6 is the last in the sequence. Since you have the means, play by chronological order. I think they are all great games. If possible, play rev 2 and 6 with a friend.
-
Play revelations so you can prolong the impending doom that is RE6
-
Play revelations and then play 6 so you can make your own opinion on it
-
I already told in the other post to stop posting my PS4 screen :v
Play Rev 1 and Rev2 and than go to Re6 in my opinion.
-
My recommendation, avoid RE6 at all costs
-
Doesn't matter. Revelations is kinda like a side story thing, the Revelation games have some connection, and a little flavor adding to the rest of the series. 6 is....weird...I like it, but I'd never replay it, mostly cause I burned myself out mega hard when it first came out. It's insanely actiony, more than 5 was, it has a horror asthetic but the only real horror part of 6 is possibly Leon's campaign. That being said, 6 is long, 4 campaigns, about 4-6 hours each if you casually play it, my advice? Play it with a friend, it's meant for co-op.

Go for re6
-
Revelations is way better than 6 in my opinion skip no2
-
Everyone hates on RE6 but it’s really not bad
-
Re6 is a little weird in comparison to the other games. It’s like it’s trying too hard which sucks because I think any of the campaigns could easily have been a well done game, but it like half assed 3 games and tried to tie them together. Not a bad game, just completely out of left field for RE. revelations 1 is more like re5, not really “horror” except a little bit closer to Re4 in terms of spookiness. Revelations 2 is wayyyyy more “scary”, survival horror feel that is like a whole new experience compared to its predecessor.
Story wise it doesn’t matter when you play any of them but I’d suggest doing rev 1, rev2 then 6
-
Revelations 1 and 2 are both better than RE6 so id play those first.
-
Revelations 1 is pretty solid, with knowledge that it was a DS game (impressive!) and haven’t played 2 but it looks alright. 6 is not good resident evil content but if you’ve got a sense of humor it can be seen as so bad it’s good, but when comparing to other games in the series it’s the worst. Solid gunplay and stuff but so doesn’t fit resident evil. Could have been so good cuz they dark environments are great and gameplay is smooth as I said.
